Hotels on first line in Catalonia

We chose the half board option, the food options let the hotel down, very repetitive, not much choice and guests were rude, you would be queuing to use the coffee machine and people would walk right infront of you to use it next, one of the worst hotels I’ve been to for food choices, meal times were very stressful

It is surrounded by a pine park. ), 10 -15 minutes walk, near supermarkets, a park for children, bus stops in all directions. In the evening, interesting show programs. Nice hotel for a relaxing stay

Rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and bathroom was lovely, very big shower, no bath which wasn’t an issue for us and the room was slightly small

All the staff were friendly, the pool areas were nice with a nice place area for kids. Only issue is that people were reserving sunbeds from before 8am and weren’t appearing to use them until atleast 1pm

It would have been OK with plastic cups if they had only done it around the pool, but it is very unpleasant to drink all the time at any of the indoor bars, except the restaurant, any drink, beer, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks from plastic cups

The maids do an excellent job and leave everything clean and tidy, I caught them one day when we returned from the beach cleaning the glass wall of the shower with active foam

I was on the reserve as to what to expect from this resort hotel. But to my surprise a solid 4 star. Even in peak season it was reasonably quite for a good night rest. Lots of entertainment durning the night and day

With the all-inclusive package, the endless drinks at the bar were a real bonus! My favourites were definitely the Piña Colada and the San Francisco cocktails. The pools were definitely a highlight

We went in September 2025 for our honeymoon. The hotel was very clean and modern. It is a very busy hotel, so keep in mind the queues and lack of sunbeds

The hotel is about a 2 minute walk to what I call the strip, which then leads down to the beach (in all about 7 min walk). It really is in a great location

The beach is also close by, about a 10–15 minute walk, and is a lovely sandy beach with plenty of restaurants along it

stayed here many times grat family hotel / food great / easy walking o shoping malls

But the restaurant and reception are very easy to locate thanks to pointers and signs with arrows on the floor. I haven't tried the pool, it was crowded most of the time

Our shower drain wasn't working properly, the water was flooding, so we left a note while we were away and they fixed it. Rooms were difficult to find at first

The main pool is where activities are organised and music plays throughout the day. There is access for disabled guests. The ‘family’ pool has a triple waterslide for children

Great food, cleanliness at a high level. The only complaint is the occasional noise made by the excursions.

Both pools have a bar nearby and are equipped with sunbeds. We regretted that there were no parasols and very little shade and the sunbeds do not incline

I spent approximately two weeks at this hotel. The rooms are adequate but unremarkable. The location is convenient, being close to both the beach and the stadium

across the road a wide clean beach. The station is 10 minutes from the hotel

Inma, Marta, Melody, Miguel are very good at customer service. Thank you all for your excellent hospitality. You all made our stay very remarkable. Inma was very helpful with drink proposals

Me and my fiancé has the absolute best time here on our little September get away! Not only did I get engaged at the hotel we had amazing service from all the bar team especially Marta she’s a brilliant lady who really cares about everyone she serves she definitely made our time extra special!! The rooms are immaculate and the pool is amazing many sunbeds for all to enjoy and the animation team did...

Rooms fine (we had a family room with sea view, beds good but too narrow) and clean. Noise at night was not too bad. Shows at night in the hotel are good

Marta made my son feel very welcome. Melody provided excellent services throughout and gave us directions. Miguel was very customer friendly especially during the night shows

There are people who are constantly Cleaning and looking after the hotel grounds. Pool/waterpark- Very clean, very well looked after. Pools on both sides of the hotel are beautiful and of a good size

The hotel is beautifully designed, with a swimming pool, blue sky and sea as standard

Super nice new hotel with multiple pools. Nice staff and extensive breakfast buffet. We were here for 3 days in October but are definitely planning to come back in the summer!

The Hotel has five swimming pools, with drink services, Balinese bed, entertainment, etc

Many locals come here for vacation! The breakfast is rich in variety, the service staff is also very enthusiastic, the room is spacious and comfortable, I will come here a few more times next time to enjoy a few more days!

At night being able to have a cocktail with live music is a joy (and if you don't feel like it, practically nothing is heard from the room). We will return without a doubt

Okay we were in Spain, but the majority of other guests were not Spanish and I find this quite exclusive and somewhat rude. 3:The surrounding area is very residential and this wasn't made clear on the TUI website

A large hotel with a huge number of people from different countries. Delicious and varied cuisine. Small pool for such a scale.

There was nothing terribly wrong with the hotel, just a few niggles which meant that we wouldn't return. 1: No tea and coffee facilities in the room which in a hotel pertaining to be 4* is poor

I’ve recently returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel to celebrate my friends 21st birthday and it was honestly amazing

We got a taxi to Portaventura and it said €23 but the taxi driver charged us €32!!! Which was a complete scam! Following this we go the bus back to the hotel (we know nothing about bus’s but we managed to get back okay only costing us €8 altogether by going on 2 different buses!) The hotel is also right on the beach too! Rooms- The room was gorgeous, the shower pressure was amazing

Entertainment - Usually when visiting hotels there is some background music throughout the day but this hotel only seamed to have music on like 2pm till 3pm (ish) which again is your own preference

Very near the sea and that's where it ends. Rooms very okay,but nothing too special. If you want to do any work in your room, you are out of luck because table and chair are uncomfortable

There was also a small children's play area which was also nice, but the toilets near the swimming pool needs updating as it resembles those you find at railway stations

Beautiful place here by the beach, walking distance to train station and many shopping malls around. We can ride trains to see attractions. The breakfast is always wonderful

The location is very nice, and the service was top, breakfast also good and various flavors. For save in the room, we must pay Extra, not much, but I prefer to make it automatically with the room price

I just wish one thing for some smiles on the servers in the breakfast room, it seems like they are not happy! No smile, no English no good morning 😃🙃 very nice nice outdoor jacuzzis tub

Parking: was full, so we parked in 5 minutes walk away from the hotel and for free. I think this hotel is the best in the area. For family with kids is ideal

After checking in, I suggest heading straight to the beach. The hotel has its own small private beach area accessible from the basement level, and guests get complimentary use of sun loungers and towels

Pretty and nice beach. Everything is clean and nice to enjoy for vacation

The room's view also deserves a special mention! The moment I pulled back the curtains, I was absolutely stunned. The panoramic sea view outside was breathtaking and magnificent, with planes occasionally flying by

Even at midnight, people were everywhere on the beach, chatting, playing beach volleyball, and even doing Western-style line dancing. Every photo you take turns out picture-perfect

It wasn't just the front desk; every staff member throughout the hotel, from the pool attendants to the restaurant servers, made us feel comfortable, cared for, and truly valued

Facilities and dining also didn't disappoint. The outdoor pool environment was fantastic; just soaking in it and enjoying the view was incredibly relaxing

That the rooms are bit out dated i agree, but I know they are busy with planning a renovation what also is really needed!! Location is perfect it's close to the beach and shops

Food it's okay don't expect super high standards and one day the food is in my opinion a way better then the other day ( but no complaints). If you go 2 weeks expect the same dishes the second week, the menu won't change

The surrounding area is nice though touristy, as the hotel is in a hotel zone, and has many small souvenir shops and other hotels nearby that offer evening entertainment

We visit the hotel for over 25 years now, we have seen a lot of changes. I won't say they all are positive but for us the hotel is fine

Able to pre-order for lunch time and evening meal but if not they took me around every single item to advise if I could eat it or not. All the staff in restaurant were lovely and so friendly and built a repoire with you

The location of the hotel is very good, 4-5 minutes walking from the beach with many shops and bars around. It’s a big hotel with a lot of people of different ages. Our room was in a quiet area of the hotel

Excellent trip at the end of October! The hotel is literally on the beach. It has everything you need for a lovely stay

-Good pool options for all ages -Good balcony views especially over the beach with distant views of larger hills and small mountains in the distance. -Shop across the road was friendly

A lost star for the room always feeling a little bit sandy, but I know this is hard with it being on the beach. We didn’t use the pool or sun beds as it wasn’t quite warm enough

Bike hire is available at the front desk, 2 bikes (one with a child seat attached) and kid helmet for €20. Perfect break for a family with toddler

Shower is a plus point very good compared to others we have stayed in. Loving sea and beach views the beach is on your door step

Lovely hotel with fantastic facilities. The buffet breakfast was impressive with a wide choice. The hotel is bigger than we expected and the rooms were a little noisy but it was run well and we had no issues

It’s between Cambrils and Salou and you would need to walk 30mins. There are taxis/buses available either

The food choices in the restaurant was not great so we had food outside. But it was decent not the great experience

Lunch and dinner excellent good variety and delicious I must say! The lobby area nice but quite basic. Outdoor area beautiful pool was freezing though. Liked the bar nice bar area and drinks were good in there

The hotel is 15-20 min from Reus Airport with taxi cost around €40/ trip. You can go for a lovely walk all the way down or up on the beach. Clean and well maintained hotel with a lovely atmosphere

Fantastic hotel! We stayed on the bottom floor with a door out to the pool. The room was large with a huge bed. The fold out bed for the child was also an excellent size. Great shower and all the facilities in the room

The only thing we would of done differently would be to purchase the Express tickets to beat the queues on the big rides. The only ride you can not use it on right now is the new Uncharted ride

##########update################## Please try to add a drinking water bottle at least one per night, it will not cost much🤭and a set of tissues near the bed or the TV Unit Bigger TV would really be a nice touch , the office underneath doesnot have a visible plug, I had to “redecorate” the room just to plug my laptop The USB plugs near bed are a nice touch

Only negative points were checkin took forever and queues in parks were loooonnnng. Hotel is clean and tidy and prices for food and drink are reasonable for a resort hotel

There was certainly no Disneyland smile here! It really damages the atmosphere of the place. Breakfast had to be booked in advance we ate at 10 meaning NO HOT DRINKS until then as no kettle etc in the room

Breakfast and dinner buffet were delicious with plenty of choices both for adults and kids. Rooms would need a bit of renovations but you are there to have fun in the park not to stay in the room

Nice hotel in many ways, theme is Wild West with country music playing all over. The only thing we were unhappy with is that the swimmingpools should be open before and after Port Aventura park opens and closes

Very nice family hotel for the visit of PortAventura. Park admission is included from the day of arrival till the day of departure, access to the park is from the hotel

If you need to get back to the hotel from Ferrari Land, then there is pathway accross the parking lot because the PortAventura is closed in the evening

Pool towels are not included in this hotel so bring your own or you'll have to fork out 25-30€ per towel at the shop

We booked gold river hotel for a week over halloween as a package with Jet2. It included unlimited access to Portaventura and 1 day at Ferrari world. After reading some of the negative reviews we were a bit apprehensive

We lost €75 euros on 3 meals the first day in the park, The pool facilities we're great however there a few wasps around(not overly aggressive and cant be helped)

The hotel and facilities were very nice including the big pool with kids area , sand volleyball court, billiards tables, and the bars/ restaurants on property

The buffet was really samey and quite bland but its too be expected with large scale catering, we visted the park 3 days and only found out on the 2nd day that the all inclusive has QR codes for the park to claim free meals while you are in portaventure

Just back from a week at the hotel, Dont trust all the 1 star reviews, the rooms can do with some modernisation however all was clean and cleaned daily, The bathroom restocked daily, The staff we're all great and nearly everyone speaks english

Everything was great, the only negative is the long queues at the rides, some up to 3 hours. One day there is not enough, at least 3 to see everything. In addition to the rides a lot of shows programs

I went with my family, and we really liked the location. The room was good size and the food was good. I would definitely come back.

The rooms were a great size, balcony included and an air con that came in very handy with the heat outside. The activities and entertainment throughout the week were well planned and very fun to partake in

The staff at the hotel, whether that be the front desk, the bar staff, the waiters, the chefs or the entertainment staff, are a massive credit to the hotel

Sydney, one of the evening entertainment staff, was especially brilliant; full of energy, always smiling, constantly ensuring that everyone was happy and having a good time

Nice location only a few minutes walk to the beach and maybe 10 minutes to the train station. Perfect for a quieter resort but also to visit surrounding ones

Our room was cleaned everyday which was always immaculate. The rooftop terrace pool was my favourite part of the hotel, it was beautiful and so relaxing

My mum and I have been staying at the Delfin for a few years now. We like it’s a bit smaller so the staff get to know you. Everyone is very friendly and helpful

I also like the hotels commitment to the environment, with staff even helping out on beach clean up days too. Rooms are a nice size, we are never in them much. Most rooms have large walk in showers too

It’s an ideal location just a few minutes walk the beach, promenade and lots of shops and restaurants. There are at least 3 supermarkets within a 2 minute walk

The wristband system in the hotel is so handy, no need to carry cards/cash in the hotel you can do everything with the wristband

We went half board and my mum has a gluten intolerance and they catered to her needs so well. The chef showed her everything that she could eat and even made her a gluten free pizza which was really nice - very impressed

I loved all the slow cooked meat dishes! The braised beef and pork in lovely gravy or sauces, the spare ribs, the steak and fish off the grill, all delicious! Freshly made pizza was my husband’s favourite

My only quibble with dinner was why put the soup station right in the middle of the queue for main courses? People either have to queue for soup then again for their main course as there are no trays, or ask if they can push in to get soup which wasn’t always welcomed I noticed

Beds firm but comfortable, two large singles pushed together to form a super king size. Good toiletries, you really don’t need to bring any. Location good but would be better if a bus stopped anywhere nearby

I didn’t have enough appetite to try any of the lovely smelling soups unfortunately. Air conditioning great, very easy to work. Wi-Fi excellent, no dropping or weak spots that we found and it’s free

We really enjoyed the food! I couldn’t fault it, breakfast or dinner. Way too much choice to go into on this review but I can’t imagine anyone being unable to find something they enjoy

They could do with an urn for dispensing boiling water as their machines are REALLY slow and most people made tea while we were there but the coffees the machine made were nice

The hotel is like a resort, scattered around the lobby, offering quite a bit of privacy. There are two large, shallow pools, perfect for the kids to play in. We drank at the adjacent restaurant and bar

We haved booked this hotel as package including park entry and half board (breakfast and dinner buffet) in low season last week of October. Overall we had a great deal for an amusement park hotel

The first floor room was the best, with a small terrace right out the door and close to the pool. We stayed there for two nights and it was quite nice

Free wifi and parking! Near park + 2 visitor pass for stay. For breakfast you need to reserve timeslot and be sure in you do it late your breakfast timeslot will be 8:00 - 8:40. These only one sad thing for our stay

First-row sea view, perfect for a vacation. Right across from the hotel is a shopping area, so you can buy whatever you want to eat. However, the location is a bit out of the way

The room was clean and comfortable, with a sea view from the window that was relaxing both morning and evening. The front desk staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out were efficient

The service was excellent, but the sea view from the lower floor was partially obstructed. Overall, my stay at this sea-view hotel was quite good

Facilities: Very mediocre and outdated. Environment: Two tall buildings in front obscure much of the sea view. Location: Besides a single shopping mall, there's not much around

The hotel's sleek, modern design and warm atmosphere made me feel like I was in for a luxurious experience, and it delivered. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the incredible service provided by Lucrezia

Cleaning in the room was not the best, I got sheets with stains on once. The swimming pool area was very nice and the beach view. It was easy to take the bus to nearby cities like Salou and Tarragona

Got a 3rd floor poolside room which was great and had a lovely sea view

The entertainment however is not great and is not aimed at English speaking guests,. The beach area is nice but it could do with being cleaned. Not many shops nearby but good bus service into Salou

There was a nice nature walk close by the beach that you can use, there was a great and delicious Indian restaurant nearby with tasty food. There's a supermarket nearby and cloth store - Holiday

When we arrived the view outside the hotel was great. Lovely wee cove at the bottom of quite a steep hill, so if you have knee problems, maybe not for you. Inside the hotel is very glam, lovely chandler as a focal point

There was a huge disappointment though, NO KETTLE, I love my tea and it's the first hotel I've ever stayed in that didn't have one, you have to buy tea at the bar, this is a big no no
