Location: in Salou, 100 km from the airport of Barcelona.
Consists of one 6-storey building.

Beach: public sandy beach is 250 m from the hotel (3 coastline). Umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses - for a fee. Beach towels are not. Between the hotel and the beach is a road and promenade.

We have just got back from a 4 night stay here and we had an amazing break !
The place is super clean, and for a 3 star we were impressed. Not sure what others were talking about, but the brekkie was one of the best we have had ( including 4 star hotels ).
There was plenty to eat at lunch & dinner and the all-inclusive drinks were spot on.
The location is superb, a few minutes from the lovely beach & or the main strip.
TIP : We flew into Reus airport, just a 10 minute drive to Salou. Other guests.saidnthe transfer from Barcelona was bit of a nightmare. ( 100 km ).
We would definitely return to Salou & this hotel !!

Honestly, it’s what you want. I booked this because it’s simply a room with a bed/shower and a balcony. I was there for a long weekend, and it was exactly what we needed. There was no hassle, and they kept us topped up with towels and it was clean. It’s very central just a short walk to the “main strip” of commercial shops and restaurants

5 mins walk to the beach. And the shops. Buffet breakfast is excellent. Pool is small but to be honest most hotels pools are small.

Beyond basic no kettle in the room. 3 guests only 2 towels asked 4 times still only 2 towels. Beds so close together may as well of been 1 single and a double not appropriate for us. Noise until midnight making it impossible to sleep no air con or heating. Constant noise in the room from somewhere. TV says cable every single channel that did work was in Spanish but half didn't work and most the others were music. Balcony had 2 chairs were 3 guests. Not well equipped. Breakfast was cold and disgusting every day none of us could eat it or was that bad. Curtains didn't shut properly so light in room all the time. Beds extremely hard and uncomfortable. Only good thing about the hotel is the location. Also wi-fi is a joke could barely get a signal so waste of time even connecting to it

We have stayed at several places in Salou but for the price and location of this hotel, I cannot understand all the negative reviews. My partner and I stayed here recently and we could not fault anything. It's basic but clean and well maintained. Check in was efficient & friendly and the reception staff were so helpful both at check in and any time we spoke to them throughout our stay. Bar staff were also very friendly and helpful and always had a smile and chat for us, (the chilled beer glasses were a welcome addition in the heat!). Pool area was relaxing and not too overcrowded. We were also pleasantly moved to see this hotel cater for special needs adults and they did so with great respect and friendly professionalism, particularly the bar and entertainment staff. Well done to all of you. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but everything else was absolutely fine and we would definitely stay here again

Great stay, but skip the food
I had a lovely stay at Santa Monica Playa in Salou. The rooms were very clean, with excellent air conditioning, and the location is perfect—close to the beach and right in the heart of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
There were a few downsides: the animation was minimal and only offered on weekends, possibly due to the early season. The karaoke night was fun, but the live band on Saturday was underwhelming. I had expected more entertainment overall.
The biggest letdown was the food. Breakfast was very basic, and dinner was disappointing: limited and dry meat options, undercooked fries, warm desserts, and a very small selection.
Advice:
I definitely recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness, and location—but I suggest booking without meals. The food doesn’t live up to the rest of the experience. Despite that, I look back on a great holiday and would gladly return!

The room was small but perfectly fine. It had a little balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the pool area, which made it feel cozier. Ana, the pool entertainer, was super friendly from the start. The front desk staff were also very kind—we were even allowed to check in two hours early. Julio at the bar was also a lovely person.
The only downside: if you're looking to rest and get some sleep, forget it. There's no sound insulation in the room, and on Saturday there was karaoke at the hotel—held outdoors by the pool area—making it impossible to sleep.
Aside from that, everything else was impeccable. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options. The hotel is just one block from the beach and the town center. Highly recommended!

. Most friendly and helpful staff ever,
especially the Reception staff were very friendly and helpful... I enjoyed my 4th night stay, the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable 5 minutes walk to the beach, beautiful surrounding atmosphere.
