The hotel is quite centrally located and near tourist spots. Everywhere is walkable.. its also next to a taxi stand and just in front of a very good ice cream shop. It is difficult to gauge how big this hotel is because the building is connected to other hotels or businesses. But for a two star hotel, it does pack a punch. There is a lift or stairs ro go up, the reception is 24 hours, they communicate well on ***********, the double room we srayed in is nicely decorated, looks modwrn and very clean. The beddings were very comfortable, we had a good 2 nights sleep here. The room is large and so is the bathroom. It has a bidet as well. Theres a hair dryer a d soap and shampoo provided. I was warned about the noise from the street but none heard during our stay. They let us leave our bags after checkout so we can go around the city. Afterwards, they let us stay in a very good sized reception area where we charged up befire travelling again. Reception was friendly enough. The breakfast is alright, theres plenty and theres fruit... I would have loved a hot breakfast but perhaps too muvh to ask for this type of hotel. I would have loved tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms as well. I would recommend the hotel. It is not your basic hotel, it is more than that

The key feature off this hotel is its location, which is ideal for everything you would want to see and do in Malaga. The rooms are good value, very clean, a good size and comfortable - we had a large window overlooking a quiet pedestrian street. Breakfast was OK but not great. Service was fine.

We have just returned from a one night stay in Sur Hotel I was a little worried because it only had two stars, but the hotel is spotless staff so friendly we had continental breakfast which was great value at 7.50€ and you’re right in the centre of everything i can’t recommend this hotel highly enough we will return.🇮🇪Ireland

We booked this hotel as it is a great location and it has private parking. The first room we were given was an inside room so we asked to change to an outside room. We did prefer this room although it was smaller than the original and smelt musty. Unfortunately I left my husband’s medication in a tablet box in the first room. When I realised I went to reception and the man there was very unhelpful. He said that they checked the room and there was nothing there and it had been reallocated. He said he would ask the customer if he saw them! When we asked a different person the next morning they knew nothing about it. They said they would get the cleaner to check but the medication was not found. It was just a good job that my husband came to no harm missing his medication for two days. I know it was my fault for leaving them in the first room but I felt had the original man on reception been more helpful we might have got them back.

Things did not bode well for our stay at check in where there was only one staff member behind the desk and a crowd of people looking to check in. The rooms are fairly basic and ours faced the pedestrian street so it was quite noisy at night. I think the shower cubicle was possibly the smallest I'd ever seen. There is A/C & the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also fine & the location is excellent.

Lovely rooms, clean, plenty of space. Fabulous choice at breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely return in the future.

I stayed one night at hotel sur malaga, Overall it was okay, Location: central and near to the city’s attractions , metro station and plenty of cafe , restaurants. Room: basic but neat and clean Comfortable clean bathroom , Good option for short stay and budget .

This hotel had quite good reviews, so we decided to book it for one night 3/4 days before our roadtrip. But unfortunately I got ill 2 days before. We read their cancellation policy about 48 hours DDL, but we still hoped for some agreement to change our date of arrival. We did not asked our money back. We would like to come later. But not anymore. Because absolutely unprofessional communication. At first we requested the dates change. No response. My friend sent them a message. Suddenly it was declined, no answer no explanation, nothing. Rude. Then she asked about it in the messages and got very unprofessional response about cancelation policy and no possibility to change without additional cost. But that was all. No details about this possibility, any questions, if it is a good solution for us and how can we make an agreement. Nothing... It seemed like they threw us to the bin immediately. Finally I also sent an email about this problem, but we met only ignorance again. So now we can say only one thing: Good to not be in that hotel, because I'm not sure even the check-in will be allright.

Staff is nice. Seafood paella is decent but not quite as generous as expected from the other photos. Taste is good though not as good as it could be. 30 EUR for 2 persons

Went for dinner here. Very disappointed with the food and service. I sat facing the swing door of the kitchen (don't put tables in front of kitchens please )we had for starters croquettes which were not bad at all. Then of course paella (well we are in Spain )too dry and seafood tasteless, too cooked or not fresh, who knows, maybe because it was Monday. Waited ages for bill and then left.

The interior has charm but the food steals the show. Classic Spanish and Malagueña food: robust flavor and inexpensive - but not cheap enough to compromise on the quality of ingredients.
A side street hides off Calle Larissa hides this gem but you’d be remiss to pass it by in favor of the more prominent and overpriced restaurants on the Calle. This is a superb place to dine whether dinner or lunch.
