Hotel Solymar in Malaga

The hotel is located very close to the sea, in a quiet neighborhood. Traveling alone, I walked around the area both during the day and at dusk, and I didn’t encounter any problems at all. In the immediate vicinity, there are both restaurants and supermarkets. In addition, it is also very close to public transport stations, with connections to all parts of the city, and the distance from the hotel to the city center can be covered with a 20-minute walk.

The hotel also has a small communal kitchenette equipped with a microwave and a self-service machine where you can buy coffee, juices, or snacks. I had a pleasant stay, and it was quiet during the night. I noticed in some reviews that a few tourists mentioned noise, but in my experience, the only noisy moments were in the mornings when the cleaning staff arrived and sometimes spoke loudly or slammed doors; otherwise, it was completely peaceful. The hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help you with absolutely anything. I really liked the fact that you had to leave the key at reception every time you left the hotel, as it meant one less thing to worry about.

Just bed no breakfast. Clean, very close to the beach. Vending machine for tea and coffee. Lots of cafes and restaurants all around. Reception is 24/7. Staff are very helpful.

The hotel is perfectly functional and in a good location, handy to bats and restaurants and the beach. Still walkable to the old town.

I've stayed with my partner for 5 days, and we both had a pleasant stay. The hotel offers what you pay for. A low budget, but nice place to stay. The room was clean, the room service did their job, and the staff very polite, helpful and available 24/7. The location is very convenient as well. I'd stay again.

The bed was comfortable, a/c which was appreciated in the heat, room was clean, our window lock was broken so it didn’t lock. Friendly staff who spoke english

Cheap and central
Was staying here 3 nights.
In general, cheap and nice hotel, near the beach.
Single room, was a bit on the smaller side. But, totally ok for one person. First day, it stinked smoke. Like really bad. But that got away after use of AC. Bed is nice and comfy, thin walls. I could hear the neighbors tv. So this is not for someone who is sensitive to the sounds.
Was some mold in the bathroom on the walls in the shower and towel-rack. Ended up hanging towel on the door.
In general, cheap and central if youre interested in beach stay. A bit on the old side tho. Could need an upgrade.
But clean somehow.

This was an excellent hotel! The staff were very friendly and supportive. They spoke English, if that is helpful. When I had a small issue with the air conditioning, they fixed it without five minutes. Very close to the beach- maybe 3-4 minute walk. They have a small snack and water shop inside the hotel.I would definitely stay there again.

The location is brilliant, only a stone away from the beach and just over a mile from the centre. We only wanted a bed to sleep not hang around at the hotel. It's basic, but just what we needed. Great value for price and you get what your paid for.
