This time I traveled with my family and we all stayed in this hotel. The hotel's location is excellent, not too far from any of the attractions, right in the city center, and next to Plaça de Catalunya. The only downsides were that the room was a bit small and the facilities weren't super new. Overall, it was still pretty good.

This hotel is fantastic! It's incredibly pet-friendly, making our stay with our dog a breeze, and the staff were all very welcoming. The rooftop is super comfortable – perfect for sunbathing and relaxing, with a great atmosphere that's ideal for a romantic getaway. Our room was clean and tidy, with modern amenities and a stylish design that made us feel completely at ease. The location is also excellent, making it easy to get around. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

This is the absolute best staff I've seen at any hotel. The rooms are great and the location is perfect but the people are phenomenal. We only stayed one night but they have gone above and beyond at every level. From the gentleman who opened the door and called the elevator for us, to the front desk staff, to the hotel restaurant staff, the room service attendants, housekeeping....everyone is the absolute best at what they do. When we come back to Barcelona (and we will because the city is incredible), I won't even consider another hotel. The people here make this place a complete 5 star experience!

My first time staying in Barcelona and I selected the Kimpton through American Express Fine Hotel and Resort program. This hotel definitely lived up to the standard you would expect. Great accommodations, conveniently located and amazing staff. They had multiple daily room check-ins to see if you needed anything, water, towels, etc. definitely take a moment to enjoy the everyday complimentary wine hour from 6p-7p and say Hola! to Mauricio and Emmanuel, they were very hospitable. I would stay here again in the future.

This property is nowhere near the 5-star standard it claims. The AC didn’t work, I asked several times for it to be fixed, which they claim they did and I couldn’t sleep for three nights. The rooms are cramped and they refused to honor my Amex hotel collection or Platinum Elite upgrade even though their own site showed better rooms available.
The bathroom design and weak water pressure feel like a budget motel.
The breakfast is lacking even for a European hotel. They put tomatoes in my fiancé’s omelette even though it wasn’t listed, and he’s allergic. When we flagged it, the staff didn’t care and got annoyed, asking him to list every ingredient he could have instead of simply correcting their mistake.
The rooftop noise echoed through the courtyard all night.
Don’t bother trying the ground floor cafe, the coffee bar staff didn’t want to make a drink and asked if I could go without as they would have to call someone who knew how to make it.
Kimptons aren’t true 5-star properties, but this one is especially bad and the management needs training.

Great location, downside is limited rooftop beds so arrive early if you plan to take advantage of the sun! The hotel porter was really helpful and advised that a local taxi would be quicker and cheaper than an UBER however it ended up being double the price, so I would recommend double checking before departure.

Our flight was canceled 2 days prior to arrival we asked to move the reservation and were told not possible - we ended up being able to use the room for 1 hour
