Reviews
First of all, there are no refrigerators in the rooms. There is absolutely nothing in the room except two basic glasses. There is no extra blanket and only one extra pillow. The lighting system is extremely poorly designed: the lights can only be turned on all at once or only in the bathroom, with no normal options for comfortable use.
The bathroom lighting is completely inadequate for applying makeup — you can barely see anything. It is genuinely hard to understand how such lighting could be considered acceptable in a hotel room.
On the day of check-in, the hotel Wi-Fi was not working at all. During the rest of the stay, it constantly disconnected. In practice, there is no reliable Wi-Fi in this hotel, which is unacceptable in a city like Barcelona, where many guests travel for work, conferences, or tourism and rely on stable internet access.
We bought a bottle of wine and asked the reception for a corkscrew. The staff refused to provide one. As a result, we had to go back to the room to get the bottle and then return to the reception just so they could open it there. This is an unnecessary inconvenience that reflects very poor service standards.
During the rain, I was refused an umbrella because I did not have cash. I was explicitly told that without €10 in cash for an umbrella deposit, I would have to go out and get wet. This level of service is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of basic hospitality.
The hotel is advertised as pet-friendly, yet in reality almost everything related to staying with a dog is forbidden. One of the main rules is that you are not allowed to leave your dog alone in the room. This is Barcelona — a city where people come to walk, visit museums, attend meetings, and explore the city. How is it possible that a so-called pet-friendly hotel effectively forbids normal travel with a dog? A dog is only allowed to stay in the room with the owner and must be on a leash at all times outside the room. This is not pet-friendly by any reasonable definition.
The only positive thing that can be said about this hotel is that it is clean. However, paying €150 per night just for cleanliness, plus an additional €25 per night for a dog, is absolutely not justified. Cleanliness alone does not compensate for the poor service, lack of basic amenities, and unreasonable restrictions.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel
It was clean, close to the metro, and centrally located.
When I arrived at the hotel, I realized that the reviews were accurate.
From the moment I entered, I noticed the sense of cleanliness — from the restroom to the corridors, everything was spotless.
The L4 Bogatell metro station was right behind the hotel and extremely close, which made all of our trips very convenient.
The room size was ideal. The staff were friendly and hardworking.
The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.
The price was also very reasonable.
It was definitely worth the money I paid.
Thank you very much!
We arrived late at night after a long and exhausting journey. The reservation was made directly through the official All Hotels app, not via a third-party platform. Despite this, at check-in the front desk staff demanded to see the card used for payment. At no point during the booking process was it stated that presenting the payment card would be required. I have never encountered such a demand before.
I could not remember which card I had used, and the last four digits provided by the receptionist did not match any of the physical cards in my possession. This created a very stressful situation, especially given the late hour. After several minutes and under clear pressure, I finally found the transaction in my bank account history. To make matters even more absurd, the receptionist examined the document in great detail, even though it was in Polish. Based on this transaction summary alone, the check-in process was finally completed.
It is worth noting that the payment was made using a card added to Apple Pay. As a guest, I am not required to know that the card number used for mobile payments is unique and different from the number on the physical card. However, staff who demand such information should at least be aware of this and assist guests accordingly, rather than applying pressure. These practices are unacceptable.
Unfortunately, the situation did not improve once we entered the room. The supposedly soundproof door let through every noise from the corridor and nearby elevators. There was not even a small bottle of water in the room, which I consider a basic standard for a hotel of this category. Additionally, in the bathroom, right in the middle of the floor, there was a fake nail lying there. It is unclear whether it was left by previous guests or by housekeeping staff, but either scenario raises serious concerns about the cleanliness of the room and the overall housekeeping standards.
In conclusion - very poor, Ibis. I am truly disappointed, and it will be extremely difficult for you to rebuild the positive image of your brand that I previously had in mind.
Also, luggage storage requires you to use a check-in machine, which is expensive and not cheap. After a competitive negotiation, they'll let you leave it in their office.
The entire service was fake, not genuine. For an Ibis-level hotel, the staff think they're InterContinental. Avoid.
The location is indeed convenient, very close to the subway.
The beach is also within walking distance.
