Reviews
Ours had three other extras: dirty pillowcases, hair on the bathroom wall that was there throughout our stay, and air conditioning that, even when turned off, leaked water from the ceiling.
If it hadn't been for Mariana's kindness and helpfulness, we would have gladly looked for new accommodation.
One positive note about this place is its central location: excellent for reaching all the monuments and getting to the airport.
On the other hand the room price per night they charge should be enough profits to invest back into the improvement of their service. They are doing the bare minimum.
My shower head had a broken part so water was coming out of two places and getting wet everywhere.
My beds squeaked every turn I made. And when I looked under them there was huge amounts of dusts, uncleaned for some time.
The staff indeed could be nicer, they have this attitude like they’re school teachers, sarcasm indeed doesn’t sit well with customer service.
I rarely write negative reviews, but my recent stay at the H TOP Hotel BCN was so appallingly bad that I feel it's my duty to warn others. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly rude and utterly unhelpful. Their attitude was consistently dismissive and frankly, stupid. We were met with nothing but aggression and disrespect, which set a terrible tone for the entire stay.
The problems didn't stop there. During our time at the hotel, workers were allowed into our room to do painting work, leaving everything absolutely filthy! We returned to a mess, and it was completely unacceptable that this was permitted while we were guests.
The nightmare continued at check-out. The staff were once again incredibly rude and aggressive. It's a genuine disgrace how they treat their guests. The level of customer service is nonexistent, and it feels as though they actively try to make your stay as unpleasant as possible.
To top it all off, the facilities were just as disappointing. The breakfast offered very few options and was not good at all. Our room was tiny, and the bathroom sink was constantly clogged. It's clear that basic maintenance and guest comfort are not priorities here.
I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL! Save yourself the money, the frustration, and the truly awful experience. This hotel is a complete embarrassment.
The room was extremely small, with tiny beds, and there was absolutely no noise isolation in the walls or doors, making it very noisy at all times. We were given a room on the ground floor that was not clean, the bathroom sink was clogged, filling with water every time we washed our hands, face, or brushed our teeth.
On the first day, when we asked to store our luggage, they offered us a locker from a “partner company” that cost €2. They even warned us the locker might take the coin without locking properly, and that’s exactly what happened. We lost the €2, and the staff refused to reimburse us, saying it was a partner company’s responsibility.
The staff was extremely unprofessional and rude. On the first day they were impolite when we asked questions, and on the second day they knocked on our door accusing us of making noise, when we clearly were not. On our last day, still two hours before check-out, we came back to the room and found our luggage had been moved so they could start painting a wall inside the room. We walked into a strong smell of fresh paint in what was supposed to be our private space.
The service: The staff there was fantastic, very friendly and helpful! Honestly the biggest highlight of the stay was the staff!
Location: Close to bus stops, and about a mile walk to the Sagrada Familia but that’s about it.
