Clean and modern hotel conveniently located just of the metro L1 line, Rocafort station. Staff were always pleasant and personable, they spoke reasonable English though my wife always tried to converse in Spanish. We didn't try the breakfast or the pool. Room was clean and had enough room for our needs. Personally price for location was perfect for what we were needing.

Close to all BCN actractions, BCN station and tube, is the right hotel to stay. Parking also available upon request (30Euro/night Jan 2026). Breakfast not so furbished, but quality is granted. BEDs excellent with a lot of comfort.

We stayed in Barcelona for 5 days and HOTEL CHI was the best choise I made in term of accommodation. Super clean, they change the towels every single day. Is close to Plaza España and also to metro station Rocafort. Is a neibourhood full of coffee shops, restaurants.

Rude, racist staff that insults guests of color (especially from India) and treats them like beggars. We were treated like beggars by their bearded receptionist and the lady (both Latin American) and were insulted the minute we walked in for checkin. I am a respected woman from India (educated, PhD) and had a 100% paid booking for 2 nights. I am 10 times more educated and have a respected C-suite job back in India.
As I walked in for checkin, without even listening to my name, he just looked at my face and color and yelled at me saying "WE DONT HAVE ANY RESERVATION FOR YOU". Everytime I tried to say my name, he kept talking over me and kept saying "WE DONT HAVE RESERVATION". When I politely raised concern around his rudeness to another lady at the reception, she says "YOU CAN LEAVE THE HOTEL AND FIND ANOTHER ONE." If I had not paid 100% amount at this hotel, I would have definitely walked out. But I decided to digest such insults, since I had my young family with me and huge amount of luggage in an unknown city. I have stayed at 4 and 5-star hotels across the globe and I have never witnessed such a rude insulting "unwelcome" by hotel reception in my life before. So, if you are Indian or a person of color, stay far away from this hotel.

This is my second stay at Chi and I am very happy with this hotel. The rooms are well priced for what you get, they are quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff are warm and helpful. The location on Gran Via is excellent.

BEWARE OF BEDBUGS!!!! DO NOT BOOK!! 0 stars for this place - We booked this hotel for a full week and discovered a bed bug in the middle of the week late at night. I found it right on my pillow as I was about to sleep. We called the front desk for help and in the most uninterested tone was told that they had no other available rooms and that house cleaning would not arrive until tomorrow early afternoon. He didn’t help us at all and sounded so unbothered by this which probably means that this was NOT the first time he heard of this complaint. He was no help so we packed our stuff and rushed to get out of the hotel. We threw the pillow into the bathroom and isolated the bug so that the hotel staff could see it the next day. Front desk man couldn’t be more apathetic as we left the lobby and checked out. Incredibly upsetting experience that resulted in us have to leave in the middle of the night at 1:30am and booking a last minute hotel outside of our budget. We didnt even get a refund after contacting the hotel several times. We did not stay for the remaining 3 nights but were charged for the full week and did not receive even a partial refund. LOOK AT THE OTHER 1 STAR REVIEWS - this is not the first bedbug sighting!! BEWARE!!

THEY ALSO STOLE MY KINDLE. I left my kindle there while house keeping was being done and realized afterwards that my kindle was gone. It was on the hotel desk and I didnt realize until after I had already checked out that it was missing. BEWARE!!

Pathetic pathetic hotel staff! The guy at the reception treated me with absolute disrespect and rudeness. The moment I walked in, he didn't even let me say my name. Looked at the color of my skin and said I there is no reservation for me. I had a paid reservation and was trying to say my name which he kept dismissing and saying no reservation. The guy behaved like I am a beggar. When other people walked in with a skin colour like his own he treated them respectfully. All people of color please please avoid this hotel. The staff will treat you like you are beggars even if you are super rich and have paid reservation.

I loved this hotel. It was centrally located for everything and right next to the station. The staff were lovely and as a solo traveller I felt completely safe there. It was clean and comfortable. The view from my balcony was lovely and I didn’t notice the traffic noise when the door was shut. The breakfast was nice. Plenty to choose from although it would have been nice for the hot food to be hotter. I did find the temperature in the hotel to be too warm for me. But that’s the only little niggle and I know they can’t please everyone with things like that. Would definitely return and reccomend
