We base our bookings on reviews so I appreciate an honest and thorough review. The staff were great. The building is somewhat charmingly dated… kinda like my deceased grandparents house (they were born in 1926) with cracked tiles and sinks. The view from our room with a balcony was beautiful and location is very nice, excellent quality windows to minimize sound outside, our bathroom was large and I love a tub. The breakfast that other reviewers glowed about was not impressive to me: small croissants and a muffin wrapped in plastic (not good, tasted like what we can get in the US), a cheese and pork plate (very good), a tomato, orange juice and coffee (both very good) and a bowl of bread (tasted like US bread). I prefer a more substantial breakfast and not carb heavy that leaves your stomach feeling full but still feeling very hungry 40-minutes later. I’d suggest they at least add hard boiled eggs. There are 3 outdoor tables and it’s lovely to eat outside in the morning. The hallways are dark (no natural light) and it’s hard to find the light switches, so keep your phone camera handy. This could easily be fixed by timed motion lights and seems a critical improvement for guest safety, especially because the floors are not all on the same level. I was in a car accident a few years ago that damaged my back and makes me very sensitive to very firm beds everywhere in the world so this is probably a “me” problem more than this hotel, but I slept horribly both nights and couldn’t wait to leave because the mattresses appear very old, the springs pricked into my back, and the beds were maximum firm. One of the beds in our room felt arched in the middle and I think was well past needing to be replaced. Mattresses have a shelf life of 8-10 years, this definitely seemed much, much, much older. I wish hotels all over the world could accommodate different sleeping preferences by selecting medium firmness beds instead of an extreme soft or extreme firm and/or could provide guests with mattress pads. Waking up to a disappointing breakfast and a body that aches for half the day loses my recommendation… despite wonderful staff and an adequate room (minus the bed… but the sleeping part is the whole point of a hotel). If the bed had been comfortable and the breakfast more substantial and shampoo and conditioner, I’d have given this hotel 5 stars. I think this hotel needs to invest more in guest experience.

This is a historic hotel with character, lots of Dali-related decor, being just a 15-minute walk over a fairly steep hill from Casa Dali. The included breakfast was an assortment of breads, cheese, meats, and eggs, standard but well done. Our suite was clean, and had the bed up a small spiral staircase with the full bath on the main level. We had an ocean view for 1 night, over a plaza with a bar but didn't have a problem with noise (it was December). Cadaques is a pretty town, some good restaurants and walking. The hour bus ride from Figueres is not for the faint of heart (or stomach).

As always, this is a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and immaculate, the breakfast is excellent. The location cannot be beaten, right in the centre of the seafront. The family have a real passion for Dali, which is reflected in the decor. They are very friendly, helpful, and informative. I have no reservations about recommending this hotel to my friends and family.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. The two gentlemen who assisted us with recommendations were spot on. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and made us feel so welcome! Clean, air conditioned, terrific breakfast. too! Hope we can make it back someday to explore this area further as it's a real gem!

The most amazing hotel. If you you are staying in Cadaques this is the place If you are interested in Salvador Dali this is the place Rooms are comfortable the breakfast superb and the staff are 100 per cent. The small lounge has an eclectic collection of Dali memorabilia

The hotel is pretty old-fashioned, but is very well located in the center. A lot of Dali artifacts. The suites contain of two small very rooms with a single and a small double bed. The breakfast is simple but pretty good. The staff is friendly but not available at night.

Fantastic hotel in a lovely town. We had a duplex room with a balcony overlooking the sea. It was hard to get my wife away from the balcony at times. Lovely room with lots of chairs and a couple of tables as well as lots of cupboards. Nice bathroom with separate WC & bidet. Breakfast was taken outside, watching the world go by and was plentiful - not a buffet style, rather a set breakfast. Lots of Dali and Dali inspired artwork on the walls, everywhere. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. They have a garage for parking a few hundred metres from the hotel which, to be fair, is not cheap but given that parking in Cadeques is hard to come by, the local public car park is even more expensive and we saw a covered parking space on sale for 35,000 Euros, it is quite reasonable. The location is grand - right in the middle of the bay. So, a really nice place to stay for a couple of days.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Mid September was a good time to visit. Cadaquez is a nice place to hang out for several days. Getting there requires a car if you do not want to hassle with public transit. 3 day car rental at BCN was an all inclusive $91. Get a small car as parking and street widths are challenging without it. The hotel met our needs and the family running it was quite helpful. It is not a luxury hotel but was fun and enjoyable. The small room did not bother us. The hot water was super pressured and made our showers enjoyable. The location is perfect and parking is offered to a limited number of guests so be sure to inquire if you want a safe place to park your car daily. (in and outs are fine). One outing that requires a car is a visit to the Dali Teatro y Museo in Figueres. The guided tours sponsored by the Foundation are terrific. Its a day long event including round trip by car, lunch in town and your visit to the museum.

From the outside this is a handsome building in a handy location. Inside was not for us. It was a dark and tiny room, listening to noisy motorbikes and noisy fan. And they used a strong room fragrance in reception. Interior dated and not in keeping with a seaside location. On the upside staff were helpful.

Fabulous location right in the centre of town and directly facing the beach just across the square. Good-sized comfortable rooms with the best possible view, and a delightful and helpful host. Thoroughly recommended.
