Quiet hotel, clean rooms, lovely staff, beautiful location. Breakfast has excellent choices. Bedroom is clean, very comfortable bed, clean bathroom. The views are breathtaking. Very happy with the choice of hotels.

Perfect in every way. We are returning guests for several years now. Let’s start with the very welcoming crew that is always friendly, and is able to handle all requests quickly and to satisfaction, both at the reception, housekeeping and in the restaurant. Excellent cuisine: original taste, surprising, excellent ingredients. Excellent cooking and all dishes excellent, alwaysExcellent facilities: restaurants, pool, gardens, fitness and wellness if you wish, and a good beach with easy access and tides right next to the hotel premises. This is a place where you can relax and enjoy so many things. Stunning sea and sunset views with daily changing colors and landscapes as a backdrop. Cleanliness is excellent throughout rooms, and collective areas, inside and outside. So, all in all, we have had again a perfect stay. One can only think of how much attention the management and crew must be giving to alll details to constantly to maintain this quality. Especially the staff at the restaurants does a great job: they are motivated, get the job done very well, deliver consistent quality, and we are lucky to have some great conversations with them. The younger ones are excellent too: dedicated, friendly, and they go the extra mile. Who stays at Almadraba but does not have lunch and dinner at the hotel misses out a lot and will get less value. If we have the opportunity, we will surely return, eyes closed. Some reviewers have complained about some price raises. Well, this is a general trend in all of the EU so the hotel is not to blame. I am glad this family business has survived the pandemic period, while so many haven’t, preserving Almadraba and his culinary heritage in Catalonia and the Empordá.

The location is wonderful. The breakfast was great. Had a great time relaxing by the pool and at the beach next door. Also did some walking on the trail along the water and took in the views on the nearby hills. If I went back to this area I would stay again. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Had some loud neighbors and staff addressed the issue with no problems.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautifully situated hotel with its long tradition of hospitality on the Costa Brava. It was a particular pleasure to be able to choose between sitting by the enormous pool and walking down to a pretty beach. The food in the restaurant and bar was delicious, and there is a very good wine list which includes a selection of reasonably priced local wines. We are especially grateful to Eda, who was exceptionally charming and attentive throughout our stay. The hotel is an ideal place to relax and we shall definitely return.

The reception staff is the most helpful and nice I ever encountered, and I travel on average 4 times a year at least in 4-5* hotels. I have seen great hotels. This hotel was more than expected. I expected the nice view, because I saw the pictures. I did not expect the reception staff to be this nice - actually solving your requests, not only saying some nice words. Actually doing their best to accommodate a request, even if not common. The best reception staff ever. You will see or read about the great location and views - I will tell you what surprised me that I wish I found before booking. I am a germ freak and I disinfect everything when I arrive - not a single thread of dust in the room, the cleaning is above and beyond. So many times we pay a big buck - and not get these little things like excellent cleaning. Also - the fact that I can make the room dark to protect from heavy sun or light in the morning. The fact that there is no noise - the doors are pretty sound proof - at least where I am at. This is gold - these tiny little details that can ruin a vacation, like too much noise and not being able to sleep. There might be spent hinge to improve not because they are not good already… … But I am so so so so satisfied with my stay here that I am writing a review while I am here and I am just so pleased and pleasantly surprised. I recommend this hotel - for the tiny things that make a difference and the big things like view and location. It is breathable - you are not overcrowded like in a big chain. There is a free private parking. Dogs are allowed. Clean and efficient - what I expect even more than “just nice”. Recommended for Swiss people who appreciate the beauty in the good details.
