AnteMARE in Sitges

The room was spacious yet fairly understated. The shower wasn’t functioning properly due to a missing fitting, and the safe was out of order on arrival, though both issues were promptly resolved. Breakfast was outstanding - varied and generous - and the coffee was excellent. The sea is just a short walk away.

Great hotel, right by the main beaches and just a short walk from a range of restaurants and bars. Staff were super helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again. Thank you!

I had the chance to stay at the hotel in September for 5 days. The hotel has a great boutique feel, staff are welcoming and cannot do enough for their guests. I had my 60th birthday there and the staff could not do enough to make my day extra special. All the staff and the Manager gave a 10 star service. A special “thanks” to Veronica who made my birthday so memorable

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and maintained with tons of variety. Unfortunately the photos of the property were taken a few years ago when they did renovations to update this old hotel. Now the bright decorative pillows and coloured bed throws that are shown in all pics no longer exist. The then new wood laminate flooring in the bathrooms have large peeled spots. (Never put laminate flooring in wet areas). Sink has crack marks that have stained black. The new pool area looks beautiful. Unfortunately the backdrop is this white 5 story hotel with gray stains dripping down the facade. Definitely time for a new paint job.

This is a great hotel located 15 min walk from the city center. I have been to this hotel many times and it is finally time for a review.

The hotel staff are friendly and energetic. They provide a welcoming atmosphere to the adults only vibe that this place gives off.

The rooms are recently renovated and have AC. This particular room had a balcony as have all the other rooms I have stayed at this hotel. Be aware that this is a high mosquito area and you will encounter a large amount of them. We bought mosquito spray at Mercadona to spray in the balcony and room. The sliding door had a nice large crack in the lower corner. (picture added)

The Bathroom in its renovated state is clean and large enough to accommodate two people if needed. The only negative to the bathroom was the over calcification of the shower head which had more clogged holes than open ones (picture added)

The hotel has two pool areas. A small inner pool which is newly renovated. It is missing sun chairs by the pool but you can go to sun chair area less than 20m away. The principal pool is a bit outdated and needs some repair and proper maintenance. On this occasion myself and a few of the hotel guests witnessed what looked like worms in the pool. Hotel staff was notified. There is a part of the pool area that is corded off which give the whole area a we are forever under construction vibe which is not pleasant. (picture added)

The buffet breakfast is the bomb as usual. One of the best hotel breakfasts in Sitges by far. If you have the option to have the bfast included do it.

The hotel tax seems a bit high to me and there is a 20€ deposit for towels.

Ordering a taxi back to the train station was a snap at the front desk.

The hotel lost a star because it lacks a bit of aesthetic maintenance. The outside needs a paint job very badly. The entry fountains need help. The interior hallways can use an update as it looks very original and like walking through a time capture.

This place is worth going to despite all the bad stuff. Go and enjoy being among adults only.

Location was great, staff was super friendly, and the best thing was that it’s adults only. So no screaming around the pool area.

Stayed at this hotel and was even better than we were expecting. The hotel is so close to the beach and about 20 minutes walk into the main town. Lovely rooms and terrace area was amazing with some beautiful art. Rooms kept clean and breakfast was tasty with nice surroundings. All in all no complaints! Would come again
