Maspalomas Lago Canary Sunset in Maspalomas

I booked a room for two people, once at the reception I was forced to pay for 2 rooms. If this had been the end of my problems I would not have published a review but in view of the dirt of the premises I had to share my experience.

Terrible check in experience, turned up to discover reception was closed from 5pm. We didn’t receive any check in instructions by email and the booking website didn’t say limited check in hours. Called the number outside the hotel, a security guard eventually turned up but didn’t know how to check us in so spent the first night asleep on the bench outside the hotel.

Up to this day I have not had a single complaint about what Maspalomas Lago offered me as a client. I have always gone and seen everything in good condition. In fact, that is why I always try to go back there, but this time they gave us an apartment that was in the following state: The pergola for the terrace was broken and without a canvas, so there was no shade for many hours in the apartment. The TV remote control almost never worked, so changing channels or turning up and down the volume was sometimes impossible. And to add to that the TV looked average and since it was not a smart TV, there was no way to watch anything online. They did not provide napkins or kitchen items as usual as other times, there were some for washing up and toilet paper and it was a miracle. And of course if you add to that the fact that in the middle of summer with a schedule of sun until 8, at 6 they no longer let you access the pool, it seems to me an abuse to have paid almost 400 euros for 3 nights. As long as I remember, I will not go back, before they managed everything better and on top of that it was not so expensive.

I am going to tell my experience with these Bungalows. But first of all, if you want to have a good weekend, don't come to these complexes. First of all, I booked through Brookings for my partner and I from Saturday to Sunday. When we arrived around 12 we handed over our ID and so on and they told us that from 2 o'clock they would give us the room. Well, at around 3:15 they give us the room. Later we went to the room and it turned out that the air conditioning was broken. I call and he immediately sends me to the maintenance guy (it wasn't the maintenance guy, he was the one who cleaned the rooms, a very nice Italian guy that I knew before) not being able to solve anything I decide to leave. The very rude receptionist named Carmendelia does not offer me any solution because she says that the maintenance guy was on free day. Well, around 4 in the afternoon I'm leaving. When I mentioned it to Booking, this chain now alleges that the air conditioning was working and the maintenance person tested it at 4. (all lies) because they did not give me any solution. They tell me that the direct is English. Well, from here I plan to put up a complaint form and I will do everything possible to have them do an investigation in that complex. So that they can investigate if they are really well insured and comply with all the regulations. It's really painful, I imagine what can be done to a foreigner. Thanks for ruining my mini vacation.
