Description

The perfect place for a relaxing holiday. This luxurious boutique hotel, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, is located two steps away from Maspalomas, the famous beach of Gran Canaria. The architecture of the hotel amazes with elegance and refinement. This is not surprising because as the author of the project was made by the famous designer Alberto Pinto. The hotel consists of whitewashed villas with tile roofs. The interiors are decorated in bright turquoise tones, against which effectively allocated the elegant furniture of dark wood. Each room has a spacious balcony or patio.

Location: 38 km from airport, Las Palmas , South of Maspalomas in San Bartolome de Tirajana, 300 m from the beach.

Consists of one two-storey building (only reception) and 6 two-storey cottages.

Only 94 rooms.

Beach: public sandy beach, 300 m from the hotel (2-coastline). Umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses – for a fee. Towels are free of charge. Between the hotel and the beach is a road and promenade. The beach is 4 km away.

Stunning location I am a repeat guest Staff are outstanding Food at every meal was lovely The heated saltwater spa pool is a real treat with massage, whirlpool and swim Short walk to beach Hotel was busy but plenty loungers at pool Ready to return !

This is an absolute gem of a hotel. On arrival one is immediately thrown into a haven of luxury and tranquility. The staff are exceptionally helpful , a special call-out out to Eros. The rooms are large with many thoughtful touches. The grounds are beautifully tended and have a Caribbean feel to them. The food is absolutely outstanding in both the pool bar and the main restaurant, which is situated on a a beautifully lit verandah overlooking the pool. I’m just so glad we opted for half board!! To top it all everywhere is SPOTLESSLY clean and inviting. I was so relaxed I actually couldn’t stay awake after about 10pm!!! , That said we did manage a couple of night s in the piano bar where one night we were entertained by the most amazing saxophonist. This is most definitely not a hotel for children, but for anyone middle aged or above you will LOVE it. Needless to say we will be coming back next year only for longer!!

We had another great holiday here. The staff were almost universally friendly, helpful and professional. The quality of the food was very good, with an excellent choice for lunch at the poolside bar. A couple of points to note though: - the local municipality is transforming the area on three sides of the hotel into a new park. This is a substantial piece of engineering and we understand is to continue for some months. The building work comes right up to the boundary of the hotel and involves noise. When we were there the workers were busy from around 7.30 am to 3.30 pm on weekdays only. It did not disturb us in our room - but there was some noise at lunchtime at the pool bar and at the pool. Nothing too bad but since we particularly choose this hotel for its calm and peace it was a little annoying. We know the work is outside the control of the hotel, but some information from management as to expected duration of the works and what they are doing to mitigate the issue would be helpful. - a previous reviewer noted that the age limit for the spa/hydrotherapy pool had been reduced. The management's response was that this was temporary for the Christmas holiday season but when we went in early February (not holiday season) the age limit was still reduced to age 8 and above. There is also new signage saying that this is the relaxation pool and asking you to maintain a quiet atmosphere. Think that this is a little unrealistic for 8 or 9 year olds..... and not really a workable option.. However, we love the hotel and still plan to return once the work has been substantially completed.

Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia is an oasis of luxury and tranquility. It’s the kind of place designed for true relaxation — no crowds, no chaos, just peaceful elegance. The property feels intimate and exclusive, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away and the beach only 5–10 minutes by foot. The atmosphere is serene, and while the crowd skews older, I didn’t mind one bit — it added to the peaceful charm.

The breakfast buffet was exceptional with champagne, mimosas, and cooked-to-order dishes, and dinner was a highlight every single night. Definitely opt for half board so you don’t miss the incredible BBQs. The spa deserves its own applause — sauna, steam, salt room, cold plunge — I went every day and left feeling completely rejuvenated. I also appreciated the no-phone rule in public areas — it truly encourages you to unplug and be present. The staff here are next-level, learning every guest’s name and making you feel genuinely cared for.

We cannot recommend this marvellous hotel enough. The environment is peaceful and immaculate. The service combines German efficiency and Spanish warmth. Many guests return year after year. No wonder.

This is the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff are fabulous, nothing is too much. Our room was traditionally furnished exceptionally clean with added extras. Everyday fresh fruit, water, coffee pods and tea are replaced. The food is just the best, you will have to diet after! Around the pool is quiet with lots of sun beds. It’s also easy to walk into the centre and it’s just across from the famous dunes. I can’t wait to go back.

This review is difficult to write as I usually leave five star hotels good reviews and am trying to be fair. Most of the hotel staff were charming, both at reception and at the pool bar for lunch. Breakfast was perfect with good service and choices. The beauty treatments were excellent. Again delightful staff. Unfortunately the spa facilities were not tranquil as small children were allowed to play in the indoor spa pool. I warned the hotel about a severe spice intolerance before arrival and was assured care would be taken. On our penultimate evening, the chef cooked with this spice in the open buffet l. No warning was given. I had a violent reaction (previous experiences and clinical immunologist diagnosis). I spent my last day on a drip in my room with a doctor (paid for by hotel). The manager denied any possibility of cross-contamination and suggested gastroenteritis amongst other guests was to blame! Given my email specified no contact, a simple warning at the least should have been given. Ironically, I got a phone call the following (last) evening to say a dish was on the menu when I was unable to eat or drink. Therefore not a hotel I would recommend for those with food intolerances or worse. Hopefully this incident will help the management and enable the chef to take better care in future.

Another exceptional stay at this lovely hotel. Each time I visit is like coming home. Staff are so nice, I would especially like to mention Stephanie and Pilli who always have a lovely welcome when I come back.

After many visits to the hotel there is always a fear that things may have changed …. However at Grand Residencia everything continues to be perfect ! From the greeting at reception, the spotless room, attentive pool staff and of course excellent food we could not have wished for more. Staff greet everyone around the hotel with smiles and are so efficient. Even after all these years (since 2002 we think) we will be back again soon

We have just returned from this fabulous hotel. The staff (Antonio, Daniella, Stephanie, Victor) and others were so attentive. I am a disabled lady and one evening whilst out, I go a puncture and the reception staff were so helpful. They lent me a wheelchair and took my chair away to get fixed, an unbelievable service!! The little extra touches make this hotel so special, like the fruit drink each morning, whilst were were sitting on the sunbeds and each afternoon, Antonio would come round with ice cold flannels to cool us down. The food was amazing too, the BBQ twice a week was wonderful, not to mention the evening meals, exceptional. I would compare the food to Le Gavroche or Gordan Ramsay's. I would love to return one day and relive this experience!

Great dining, all the food is fresh and tasty, whether it be for lunch or dinner and amazing tapas dishes too. The staff are welcoming and very kind. Highly recommendable, you must give it a try!!!

Nice food here for a reasonable price. We had aubergine fritters, serrano, chorizo and croquettes. The kids meals were ideal as she can be hit and miss with the food. Good spot and generally enjoyable.
