Sunsuites Carolina in San Agustin

We had a truly wonderful stay! The place is amazing – spacious, clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. As a family with a child, we especially appreciated how convenient everything was – shops, cafés, and restaurants were just across the street, and beautiful beaches were just a short walk away.
The location is perfect – everything we needed was nearby, and if we wanted to explore further, public transport was easy and accessible. There was also a lovely walking path right outside, ideal for peaceful strolls with breathtaking views.
We enjoyed every moment here and would gladly come back again and again. Highly recommended! 😊

My partner and myself had the most wonderful stay at the Sunsuites Carolina in September '17. The staff are friendly, and work hard to make guests stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We had a gorgeous experience in Gran Canaria with Sunsuites Carolina as our base each day.

San Augustine is a quiet holiday destination with beautiful beaches, yummy eateries and bars, lots of holiday shops, and lots of locals visit at the weekend. We visited in the quietest week of the year and not everything was open in the shopping centre but there were plenty of businesses welcoming us in. In particular we recommend cocktails in the Ibiza Chillout Bar, where the loveliest bar lady knocks out delicious drinks with care and consideration. Lots of friendly locals drink here in the evenings and there is a beautifully relaxed ambience suited to a hot summer evening.

Its a short 5 minute taxi ride or long leisurely walk down the beachfront to Playa del Ingels which is the nightclub holiday destination of Gran Canaria, where there are lots of shopping centers and hundreds of bars and clubs.

Sunsuites Carolina is a small hotel with a mixture of twin and family rooms in a very traditional Spanish style, with lots of space and all are self catering. The cleaners were exceptional. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, although hot and cold drinks and small snacks can be bought from reception. There are also three supermarkets within two minutes from the hotel, so no bar is not a problem! Plenty of choice in the shops at very reasonable prices (even with the Pound being poor against the Euro).

A 3* hotel status, yet they go above and beyond that and provide you with bath robes and towels, sun lounger towels and each morning delicious freshly baked rolls are delivered to your door. One day our lounger towels were washed into the sea (watch the tide ? it can come in quickly and you will become the joke of the locals on the Beach), and the hotel replaced with smiles and no complaint.

Sunsuites Carolina have the friendliest reception staff I have ever encountered who remember all their return guests, of which there were many! There were a couple of minor issues such as the security gate breaking and our card didn't work once which were dealt with safely and efficiently. Brilliant service at all times.

The hotel is located only a short 1 min walk from the Beach. There is a carpark in front of the hotel before the Beach, so your view from your balcony includes a carpark, but we found this to be a bonus; watching the local people coming and going at the Beach was very cheery and at times completely mesmerising. The remaining view is simply stunning, fulfilling all your holiday requirements of Sun, Sea and Sand.

The pool area is kept immaculately clean and tidy, and there were no times where we couldnt get a lounger. Occasionally people would put towels down to 'reserve' a lounger but very quickly people reailsed that this wasnt needed in this establishment!

The hotel guests were from all over the world as well as many Spanish visitors, which is delightful if you like to go on holiday and get away from everything British! If you enjoy a holiday surrounded by English voices and cooked English breakfasts then this may not be the holiday for you!

Thank you to all the staff. I never understood before this holiday why people would return to the same holiday destination time and time again, but after having such a fantastic holiday at Sunsuites Carolina I do want to return. And we will.

Its only after experiencing a hotel where they get it all right that you realise quite how bad the ones were that came before...

Well situated, small and friendly complex. The suites are clean as is the whole setting. The team are friendly and helpful. Amenities and beach are very close and the setting is well cared for.

We stayed in one of the first floor townhouse a few minutes walk from the main pool/apartment development but apart from parking being tricky on occasions, couldn’t fault anything else. Fabulously appointed T1 and super sea views from the balcony. Hesse, the owner was a very helpful friendly man and I would definitely return to Sunsuites if visiting the island again.

Friendly staff made this a very nice experience. Quiet, clean and well run hotel with mainly Skandinavian guests.

Very nice accommodation, the girls who run it are lovely and treated us great. On Sunday afternoons they make waffles with chocolate. It is in front of Las Burras beach. There is a shopping centre next door and restaurant areas. The accommodation is very quiet, it is not noisy at night, at night there is easy parking, in the morning it costs a little more because it is in front of the beach. There is a long walk to go for a walk. We have repeated

The location is ideal, right on the beach, with services nearby (supermarket, pharmacy, parking in August is difficult). It is a quiet complex and its common areas are very good. Although the interior of the apartments is fine, we think it needs a renovation and changing the furniture.
