I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, the place was extremely family friendly. The food was great so many choices and the staff were always helpful. There was enjoyable entertainment every night, which made the stay even better. Shoping center near 10min. walk, Aldi next door. The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the beach, but they provide a bus service, which is very convenient. Overall, highly recommended!

We love this hotel. This is our 3rd year back. The entertainment team are fantastic. Matea, Silvia, Davide,Greta,Omar bring the energy, fun , and great exercise in and around the pool. Can’t wait to come back again.

Stayed for a week at the end of November. I couldn't fault the hotel; for a 3-star, it had everything you needed. The hotel staff were great, especially the entertainment team. They were full of energy and made each day and night fun. There was a mini disco at night for the kids and then an entertainment show afterward for the family. The staff at the bar at nighttime did not stop and were always friendly. I know tipping is optional, but they were very grateful for a few euros each night, and they deserved it. Check-in was quick and easy. The food in the main buffet was good; there was always a choice of something different each night, including fresh grilled fish or chicken/steaks. There were different themed nights in the buffet too. The snack bar around the pool area was ideal for a quick bite to eat. No faults at breakfast. The free bus to the beach was good and on time each day and the Chinese restaurant upstairs was lovely. We got this free with a pool view room. All in all, I would return to this hotel as the price was cheap, the staff excellent, and the food and drinks where nice.

We upgraded to a pool view room and were stuck in the corner of the complex with a view of the roofs of the pool bar and only saw the pool if you craned your neck. We complained to TUI about our non upgraded room about what was not in it and they refunded our money. There was no air-conditioning and the receptionist said you can hire the small units at 5 euros per day. The mirrored wardrobes were almost right up against the bed and made it difficult to see full length when ready to go out. There was a huge wall with a wall lamp and the TV on it, plenty of room for a full length mirror. The bathroom had the shower attachment really high and you had to climb over the edge of the bath by the toilet. The breakfast was just ok, the sausages were not of decent quality, the coffee from the machine didn't fill the cups and had no taste and the toast machine takes time to toast, (coffee machines and toast machines are the same everywhere). Evening dinner was better with a good choice, I can't comment on the lunch as we never went but the snack bar was ok to good serving chips, burgers, nuggets, pizza and a bit of salad. This was every day. It says 2 bars but the second bar, the sports bar was not included in all inclusive. The pool bar tended to put 2 huge pieces of ice into the drinks to save alcohol and got very annoying. The Chinese restaurant on site gave 10% off was the best meal of the week. There is a Spanish bar 50 yards around the corner which we went to a couple of times and was fantastic, 3 euros for a good cold pint and 7 euros for fantastic cocktails. The cleaners are the unsung heroes of the hotel from the rooms to the grounds, everywhere was immaculate. I found most of the staff from reception to bar staff and especially the restaurant staff sometimes a bit slap dash. Restaurant staff took time to replenish cups and plates and the kitchen staff the same when waiting for the hot plates to be refilled. The courtesy bus to the beach still dropped you 20 minutes away from the beach and shops. A really good thing about the hotel was it was completely perfect for people with walking disabilities and walking aids. What was annoying apart from no air-conditioning in the room was that there is a huge space with seats and tables behind reception which were perfect only if they built an indoor bar where there was a pull down screen to watch the sports. Overall it was ok to escape the rain and winds back home but easier nowhere near the best I have stay at this time of year.

i have come to this hotel for 3 years in a row now and it never disappoints me and my family, so many friends we have met because of this hotel and my favourite is the entertainment team, always have good activities and such a friendly atmosphere. the food is amazing and have such variety.

Generally a good holiday hotel, comfortable beds, good food, hardworking and pleasant staff. No sunbed hogging at dawn as the pool area not open until 8.30am. The negative for us was the variable WiFi and some of the guests who thought it was ok to party loudly in the central pool area.

My stay at Miridor Maspalomas by Dunas was extremely disappointing and fell well below acceptable standards. The most concerning issue was a daily ant infestation in my room, which continued throughout my stay. Despite reporting this repeatedly, the hotel offered no proper solution. I was informed that I could only move rooms if I paid additional charges, as no rooms of the same price category were available. Expecting guests to pay extra to escape a hygiene problem is completely unacceptable. Another major issue was the lack of air conditioning. The rooms do not include it, and guests are required to pay €5 per day for basic air conditioning — something that should be standard in this climate. This added cost was not clearly explained before arrival and feels like yet another unnecessary additional charge. The all-inclusive package is also misleading. Although the bar remains open past 11pm, the all-inclusive service stops at that time, meaning guests must pay for all drinks after 11pm, which is not clearly communicated in advance. To give credit where it’s due, the entertainment team was excellent, and the food quality was very good, but these positives do not make up for the serious issues experienced. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. Between the ongoing ant infestation, the refusal to address the problem without extra fees, the lack of included air conditioning, and the misleading all-inclusive terms, the experience was extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise future guests to be aware of these issues before booking.

Amazing reception staff as always. Dani, Pepi, Maribel and all the others, sorry don’t know all names. They always go above and beyond on every visit we’ve made here (40 now). The cleaners work tirelessly to ensure all rooms are clean and tidy along with stair wells and hallways. Also cleaning toilets and restaurant areas. Restaurant, kitchen and pool bar staff are always polite and friendly, and cook and prepare amazing food. I wasn’t impressed this year with the animation team, I actually found some comments to other holiday makers quite rude. Also I don’t feel they include adults with no children. My opinion is if you want the crowd to join in, include them at all times. Some members in the back office walk around the restaurant with their long hair flapping around the food which I find very un hygienic especially when the restaurant staff always have their hair tied back. Please tie your hair back too, because if I found a hair in my food I’d be sick!!

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, gorgeous pool area, great selection of food and drink. The Entertainment Team were terrific, 11-11 daily, they all worked really hard, as did all staff to insure our enjoyment. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was simply because of a couple of things. No air con, the big ceiling fan did its job overnight and we slept really well. Once the sun came up it was so hot. This was October, I would imagine mid summer this must be awful. To perfect this great hotel, they need to install air con in all rooms. The lift also packed in while we were there and it was fixed in 2 days, however, 2days up and down those stairs was a chore. They did apologise and gave us a bottle of cava to compensate, this was a really nice gesture but I think the hotel probably just needs updating a little.

Some of the staff especially in the dining room were lovely. Front desk however, not so much. It was like a simple question was hard work or too much trouble. Location not great. Not alot around tbh. Free shuttle bus to beach was handy but a nightmare. If you could get on it. Constantly packed and only available at certain times. We upgraded our room to the family room. Only difference between a standard and family room is a wall. There was a wall separately the living area where the awful sofa bed which kept collapsing everytime my children tried to sleep on it. Don't bother paying to upgrade. Not worth it. Only 1 fan in the bedroom that's it. Cracks and gaps in the tiles which was not good for your feet no matter how old you are. Bathroom handle falling apart so dare not close the door. Getting down the skinny narrow hallway to get to our room was a nightmare especially with children. My parents room was rotten and mouldy. But after complaining to our rep. She got my parents moved rooms. However we were told tuff. Then told as we 'upgraded' we should have had an air con unit in our room for free. However we did not have one. When one was provided it made no difference. On our 2nd from last day I think the cleaner must have realized how bad it was. Because it was changed whilst we were out. 2nd one was so much better. Just a shame it was at the end of the holiday. I was told guest relations would speak to me about our room. Noone ever came to see us or call us. I gave up in the end and wanted to make the most of our family holiday before it was over. The all inclusive was good though. Dining area always replenished and clean. Food was lovely. Something for everyone. Pool is okay. Nothing to brag about and the entertainment... well even my children got bored. Pool area was all about people getting drunk. Pushing people even children. So that was not a great part. I could list more. But so much happened. No apology. No interest atall. I would visit gran canaria again. Definitely not return to this hotel though. Definitely visit Aqualand - it's great fun!
