The food was very good and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. The location is decent, and while the hotel doesn't offer its own parking, I was able to find a spot about a 10-minute walk away. The main downside was the cleanliness, which could have been better. If want a drink or biscuit from the bar don't expect all the staff to crack a smile as some are a little rude and you wonder why they are in that job. The room was clean, a musty scent when I first arrived, but that was all. The pools were nice and the staff were attentive and friendly. Hotel rooms are nice but require up grading. The room was clean I understand the island has rules regarding alcohol,at hotel you can only have alcohol drinks during meals and only so many per person per day ,I get this, but you can't take your drink outside!! The bars only a few property's down are open all night and make the BEST pizza. The lobby bar has 24h espressos and everyone speaks English (as well French, Spanish and German). The room was basic, but the ocean view is beautiful and work it. The included breakfast was also basic but great that it was open till 130pm on days we slept in.

Nice hotel with plenty pools on the top roof to chill out. We were lucky to book a one bedroom apartment with the massive private terrace (it was boiling hot to stay there) and well efficient aircon.

We really enjoyed our time at Rio Bravo! The staff were friendly and kind, and even taught us a bit of Spanish. The buffet offers a good selection of food, and we didn’t mind the 3 drink per person cap (it’s designed to stop people misbehaving), and the staff were lenient. The resort is excellent! One thing i noticed. There is no music playing and the one they have is for a funeral home. They need an activity person to make people have a good time other than eat and tan. The show at 9 pm is not good. Singers cant engage with customers because they are bad. The hotel is definitely not a 4 star, a 3 star hotel is more accurate. An example of why this is is there is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, you have to rent them and the staff told me that they only have 6 for the whole hotel. There is no room service and only a vending machine if you want snacks etc. Breakfast is nice and varied options.

Probably one of the first hotels on the beach is more than 50 years old - renovated and decent buffet food, terrible bed and quality rooms - book the ones facing the seaside. We had an amaizing experience. All the services were the best. The food was very good, the cleaning services were the best (the towels were changed daily, the room was cleaned daily). This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, and housekeeping remade our beds and tidied our rooms daily, which I was not expecting on a 4 night stay. The sea view room was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend staying here. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning was under maintenance for both days of my stay, and the air it blew out had an unpleasant odor. However, everything else was superb! Partner and I booked a few nights here without knowing it was a German hotspot. The staff were incredibly accommodating and responsive to Spanish natives and made us feel very welcome.

It was my first time traveling alone, which was very exciting, but I felt completely taken care of at Hotel Dunas. The service was excellent and the staff were polite and attentive. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and all the local attractions — absolutely perfect! I’ll definitely be coming back. A big thank-you to all the staff for their wonderful service.

The A2 bus from the airport takes you directly to the hotel, which is located near the beach and offers beautiful surroundings. The hotel has three swimming pools, but they close at 7 p.m. The room was small but comfortable, with the toilet and washbasin outside. We also had breakfast, which was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes.

We spent 3 days, personal was very kind, help us when we asked. Room was clean, every day clean well. Location point of you, amazing, near the restaurants, beach and shops.

Did not particularly like the resort of Arenal but the hotel was clean , staff friendly and efficient . Unfortunately the sun did not come onto the pool until 11.30am and was gone by 4.30pm but it was only a few minutes to the beach . My only criticism was I found the bed hard but overall the hotel is good value for money and would recommend if on a budget .

Good value for money, breakfast has good variety although with few local specialities, Room is clean and tidy, freshly fitted. One minor inconvenience we had, the balcony door didn't close too well and the strong wind kept hauling laudly during the night which kept us awake

Breakfast serving hours were from 8-13:30. It was hard to have breakfast and catch the excursion bus. Two of our excursions had pick up time at 8:25. Pick up was not from hotel -10 min walking distance. It be nice to have breakfast served from 7:30
