I recently stayed at this so-called "5-star" hotel, but in my opinion, it hardly meets the standard and conditions expected of such a rating. I'd say it feels more like a 3-star hotel at best. Here are some reasons why:

First the rooms are in serious need of refreshing.
Then, if you want a coffee refill, you have to pay 6 euros — not even basic coffee sachets are provided. Guests also have to refill their own water, and unfortunately, the quality is questionable; I could taste chlorine in it. We had pre-booked dinner, but it didn’t include any drinks, not even water. For water, you need to pay 3 euros, and it came from a water dispenser where I could also detect chlorine.

The bikes the hotel rents out are very old and have only three gears. I’d highly recommend renting from the place next door, where you get much better-quality bikes for the same price.

Additionally, the rooftop pool featured prominently in the hotel’s photos is only accessible to guests in Star Prestige rooms. We didn’t know this until we arrived.

Overall, we certainly won’t be returning to this hotel. Compared to other 5-star hotels, the price here is nowhere near justified for the quality you actually receive.
