Hotel Hispania in Playa de Palma

The hotel was really very good – the location and accessibility are excellent. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel with direct access to Palma, which is very convenient. There are also plenty of free parking spaces around the hotel.
I had read in some reviews that people were not satisfied with the breakfast and food, but in my opinion, it deserves an 8 out of 10. The selection was very diverse, and empty dishes were always refilled quickly.
The staff were polite and friendly. Many thanks to the professional team at Hotel Hispania – especially Ms. Porcel.
The sky bar is amazing. You can sit there for hours and enjoy the cocktails, drinks, and the beautiful view of the sea and the beach. I recommend eating there instead of going outside the hotel – the prices are reasonable and the food is very tasty.
The rooms were very clean and were cleaned every day.
By car, Palma is about 15 minutes away, and the airport about 10 minutes. Megapark is just a 5-minute walk, and Aqualand water park is about 10 minutes away.
Overall, I would rate this hotel 8 out of 10, and the view and sky bar 10 out of 10.

The hotel is approximately 20 meters from the beach.
Prices are within expectations.
Check-in is a bit slow.
The rooms are spacious and have an outdoor balcony.
The staff are friendly and attentive.
Breakfast and dinner are self-service.
It has a terrace with bar service until 11 PM.
The bathrooms don't have a bidet 😵‍💫.

In general, great hotel, however, the room we stayed in even though it was nice and spacious AC was barely blowing; seemed like it had a problem with a blower fan and at the highest fan setting it was barely blowing any air out. It wasn’t quite comfortable for a four-star hotel I would expect better. Also, the shower drained very slowly and unfortunately, in the afternoon, they don’t have maintenance people on site so they weren’t able to address the issue upon our request.
They have a nice rooftop deck overlooking the ocean and the boardwalk.

The location of this hotel is truly fantastic. Being right on the beachfront in Palma de Mallorca is a major advantage, and the views are beautiful. The breakfast and dinner were also very enjoyable, with a good variety of tasty food.

However, I believe there are several areas that need significant improvement in order to match the price and the expectations of a beachfront hotel.

The rooms are extremely small and lack basic comfort. There was no kettle, no glasses, no complimentary bottle of water, which is surprising in such a hot destination. Even simple amenities that guests expect in 2026 were missing. The bathroom was supplied with only one small roll of toilet paper, which is not sufficient for guests staying more than one day.

Many additional services, including the spa, require extra payment, which further reduces the overall value for money. The rooms feel outdated, and modern upgrades such as newer televisions and improved facilities would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Comfort, cleanliness, and customer care should be a priority, especially for a hotel in such a prime location. At the moment, the quality of the accommodation does not reflect what many guests would expect from a first-line beachfront property.
In our room we found cracked mirror,yellow dirty rusty shower,dirty old fridge with rust,full of dust wall,dirty curtains with stains .

I sincerely hope the management continues to invest in improvements because the hotel's location is outstanding and has enormous potential. With more attention to comfort, modern facilities, and guest satisfaction, this could become a truly exceptional place to stay.
