We booked for this year it’s closed down was ideal location unfortunately not to be we received our money back we were looking forward to exploring Alicante perhaps someone else will take over and can book again as I say the location was ideal
The room was clean, nice personnel, good location in the center on Explanada, very close to the beach. Loud though because of the active traffic right in front the window. Minuses are pillows - very low, had to ask for additional set.
While not a five star hotel I am giving it five stars because if the friendly an dhwlpful staff, the great central location and the clean and comfortable rooms.
It's location is convenient for many restaurants and bars as well as the beach and promenade. The castle is in walking distance as is the central market and the shuttle bus from the airport drops you minutes away from the hotel.

Cockroach greeted me in my 2nd floor room last night. An alternative room was offered and accepted. Woke up to another in the 1st floor room. My 2nd room was really noisy for much of night: bins being emptied; road sweeping van up and down; street being jet washed. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly. Having read the reviews, and consulted a local, it is a good hotel. Nonetheless based on my experience I cannot recommend.

Brilliant location and lovely helpful staff at all times. We asked for extra pillows which arrived immediately. A mirror in the room would have been very useful. Breakfast quite basic but ok. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
The hotel isn't great at all, very simple and don't pay extra for breakfasts, it's very poor. But the location is great easy to reach the beach, the airport and also the old town. The reason I give 4* is the staff. THE STAFF SO NICE AND HELPS ANYTHING YOU NEED!
Generaly everything is ok but beds could be more comfortable and is quite loud because of the near streets.Staff is very friendly and hotel is clean in good state located in perfect place !

I can only share my experiences of the restaurant, which was absolutely phenomenal. Excellent food and the service was brilliant, with reasonably priced meals in a pristine and relaxed environment. The waitress Brook was very friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well catered for. Thank you very much 👍🏻 I highly recommend!

The hotel is very comfortably furnished and located right in the center of Alicante. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel features an intimate pool and an excellent rooftop with a stunning view of the castle. The Fondillon restaurant offers tasty food at reasonable prices. The breakfasts are varied and enjoyable.

Quite pricey for Alicante but lovely room and fab roof top pool (heated) overlooking Santa Barbara castle. Minibar / fridge, kettle and coffeemaker, UK etc TV channels. Very nice staff (a special shout out to Cristina).
Only thing missing for me was a bar. Apparently there's one up top but closed when we went. The cosy library would be perfect spot for one.
Parking in basement tight but great to have one in such a central location.

This was our second stay at Hotel Hospes Amerigo and once again, it did not disappoint. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the hotel is in a fantastic location - close to the beach, museums, and plenty of great restaurants.
The family rooms are spacious and offer plenty of space for everyone, which made our stay very comfortable. The swimming pool has lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere, though a few of the jets were out of service this time, which our kids missed. Room service was excellent and there was just the right amount of attention throughout our stay.
Breakfast has a fairly limited selection, but the service is highly attentive and there is a nice level of personalisation, which made it a great start to the day.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again.

Hospes Amérigo – A Perfect Blend of Elegance and Comfort
What a cool yet elegant 5-star hotel in a fabulous location! The facilities are first-class, including excellent restaurants and a stylish rooftop bar. We stayed in a lovely, spacious room with a well-stocked minibar and a quality Nespresso coffee machine. The large bathroom was spotless, with great water pressure and premium amenities.
Breakfast was outstanding, offering both freshly prepared dishes from the kitchen and a wonderful buffet selection. The hotel is just 300 meters from a beautiful beach and only 15 minutes from the airport — incredibly convenient.
Every member of staff was attentive and welcoming, making our stay truly special. I can’t wait to go back — both for the hotel’s exceptional hospitality and everything that Alicante has to offer.

Four stars due to very nice service and attending personnel. Extremely simple and good food. Wanted to eat the whole menu but had to settle. One minus - Devin the prawn and it would be almost perfect. Will come again but will not order shrimp.

Great service and food! The food was delicious and modern, with some exciting and creative twists on classic dishes. I need to come back to try the tasting menu, it looked wonderful! The food is not cheap, but very reasonably priced considering the quality.
If you are concerned with noise, like my family who is hard of hearing, ask for a table downstairs. The atmosphere was very cozy and nice, and even when the room was full, it wasn't noisy like a full service often can be.
