Edelweiss Resort in Mirissa

My son and I stayed in Edelweis Resort for two days and nights and found the place and the staff very pleasant. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean. The food was homely and inexpensive too. The kitchen was sparkling clean, and the young staff were prompt and responsive in meeting our requests. The manager, a young lady named Ms.Thilini Sewwandi, was very welcoming. She came forward to talk to us and establish a personal rapport with us. At the end of the stay, she saw us off at the car park, making us feel that we should stay at Resort Edelweis on our next visit to Mirissa. We did pass through Mirissa a few years later and had lunch there, which was as delicious as it was before. Manager Thilini Sewwandi was still there, personally attending to us as before. The place is not crowded and so, ideal for spending a quiet time. Eating in the open-air restaurant overlooking the shore, with the food served by ever-smiling Ms.Sewwadi and her staff, calms the mind. The absence of loud music is a boon. We had the most relaxing, restful holiday at Edelweiss Resort. This was our first trip to Mirissa and Edelweiss Resort was truly, a home away from home. Sewwandi and her team took so much trouble to make our holiday a memorable one, attending to all our needs as best as they possibly can. The food was really good, so totally Sri Lankan and just what we expected. We were delighted to note that the washrooms and bedrooms were super clean & spacious. Even though sea bathing was not possible right infront of the rooms, the beach was quite clean and we were able to walk on the beach. All in all, a great experience!

Amazing food . Friendly & Helpful staff. Property is very close to the beach. Everything is good and great value for money. Rooms and washrooms are very spacious, new looking, clean and well maintained.

I visited Edelweiss resort early May this year with a bunch of my childhood friends. It provided a great occasion for all of us since some of us met almost after 30 years. The location has it's own scenic beauty with a nice beach front view and a clean and spacious garden and a swimming pool. The rooms has ample space and washrooms are spotless clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful that gave us a very homely feeling while respecting our privacy. I would recommend this resort to any family or a group planning to spend their next vacation .

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are exceptional, always smiling and trying to help. Edelweiss is located a few minutes away from coconut tree hill, a great photographic spot and the beaches there are quiet and perfect for snorkelling and spotting turtles. Our room was spacious and cool with a nice modern shower and hot water. The breakfast is delicious and I recommend the yummy mango ice cream shake. Hire a a moped which is cheap to do in Mirissa which gives you lots of freedom.

It feels like home with friendly and helpful staff. You receive welcome drink after arrival. Wild beach is right outside the hotel

Resort is a small 12 room property facing the beach which has several reefs for snorkeling and swimming. We booked 7 rooms for 19 people, who all were families. The place is managed a lady who was very polite and ready to serve. I recommend the resort for holiday makers.
