Celestial Inn in Mirissa

It is by far our best stay in Sri Lanka. The best part - staff. Hotel manager was extremely helpful, he answered WhatsApp messages instantly in the morning or in the evening. He wrote us about important events like power outage in Mirissa. He often asked us if everything is okay and gave us a lot of recommendations what to do in Mirissa.
Lastly, when we were checking out, we had a lot of trouble catching uber (shady drivers). He offered us to call a taxi and offered us a coffe and water while we were waiting.

Rest of the stuff was also really nice, always helpful. We ordered some food to our room, I asked for a plate, we got full set of plates, knifes, and forks with tissues, they also asked if we want water.

Room was really fine with working AC and a fan, mosquites net around the bed. Bed was comfortable. A bathroom was good, well equiped with cosmetics.

My favorite part about the room was a balcony with a beautiful view on a garden. Sometimes you could see monkeys on the trees.

Breakfast was a regular breakfast similar to what we saw in other hotels - omlette, bread, jam, fruits and tea or coffee.

Location is perfect, a walking distance to a lot of restaurants, turist spots and beach.
15 minutes tuktuk drive to Weligama Beach, where you can surf.

I totally recomend that place, don't hesistate to book.

Last week we stayed at Celestial Inn Mirissa and had the pleasure of being looked after by Lakshan. His level of service was truly outstanding: always smiling, kind, helpful, and willing to assist at any moment. An absolute delight, both as a person and as a professional.

For my arrival at the isolated railway station at Mirissa, the manager arranged a tuktuk pick-up. Just as well, because it would have been a 2-mile walk to the hotel. It's set in a leavy garden with some tropical life (lizards and monkeys but unfortunately mosquitoes as well). The manager was helpful and knowledgeable, arranging besides my arrival a trip to the Handunugoda tea estate. I thought the room was a bit pricey compared with nearby places but comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was good.

What a great time at Celestial Inn! Thanks to Nadeeke we had the best experience ever in Sri Lanka. From the first to last second he was always there for all our needs, served the best local breakfast and told us so much about Sri Lanka’s history and culture. The hotel is located very central but we always were happy to be back at the place because of him. Also the rooms incl. washing room are really nice, big and clean. The surrounding is quiet and at the same time it’s only a minute away from the beach and main road. We can recommend this 100%! :)

This was my favourite hotel in Sri Lanka. It’s in a quiet street right across the road from Mirissa beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the manager plays guitar at night to give an incredible performance before bed. The biggest highlight of this place is the staff they will do anything for you, it’s like staying with family. They helped us rent a scooter and made sure we weren’t ripped off and give you all the tips so you enjoy yourself not to make a commission. I was injured whilst staying here and the staff were so caring and nice and constantly offering anything and everything they could think of to help. If I could give 6 stars I would, I will definitely be back!

We stayed at the Celestial Inn for three nights and it was definitely one of the best hotels during our whole holiday in Sri Lanka. The hotel is very well located close to the main beach of Mirissa. The rooms are clean and spacious and the management team are very nice and attentive. If you are in Mirissa, I would highly recommend staying at the Celestial Inn!

Nice clean accommodations with great additional amenities such as fridge in room. Staff were very friendly and always close by. Very central to the beach and all the going’s on in Mirissa. Also saw lots of monkeys from our room which was very exciting.

We stayed in DEC 2021 and originally booked via *********** for 2 nights, the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was large and airy with no issues. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety, definitely set us up for the day! We enjoyed the stay so much that we extended to 4 nights! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, the proximity to the beach is great and the staff couldn't do anything more for us! (I wouldn't recognize the place from the previous review in April 2021) Sri Lanka has been hit hard by the pandemic and needs more tourists to visit- this was one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka 😊
