The room was too hot, and the air conditioner seemed to be malfunctioning, cooling down very slowly. Staying there in this nearly 40°C weather was unbearable. I'm not sure if the price of over 900 yuan is cheap or expensive.

The room was spacious and the building was a colonial style typical of Galle, making it a wonderful experience.

The hotel is located inside a castle, making it convenient to go anywhere, and its best feature is its proximity to the sunset spot. It has a Dutch style, is clean and tidy, offers excellent service, and provides a set breakfast that is quite tasty.

Beautiful boutique hotel with blue and white theme in its accessories which was what captivated my interest into booking one.
The room was huge but only a small tv.
AC was noisy through the night with a tick tick sound which was annoying. Thus was reported to the staff in the morning.
Breakfast choice had to be selected the day before.
The eggs Benedict could have been better. However, the fruit juice, tea and basket of breads and pastries was a nice touch.

Staff were so helpful and polite.

The breakfast was great, with a variety of set menus to choose from. The hotel was beautiful.

The first-floor rooms had absolutely no soundproofing; every sound was clearly audible. Movement noises from the second floor were amplified tenfold due to the wooden partitions, making it impossible to sleep all night.

The bed was too soft; my back ached when I got up. The shower water wasn't hot.

Charming hotel in the heart of Galle Fort. All the staff are very polite and attentive, always with a big smile on their faces.
A boutique hotel in a colonial style. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Modern bathroom with shower. The courtyard makes you feel completely relaxed and peaceful.
It is definitely a hotel to recommend and would love to stay with again. The value for money is excellent.
The whole area maintains a colonial atmosphere, with countless restaurants and souvenir shops. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The hotel boasts a superb location, making it convenient to get around. There are always tuk-tuks available right outside, and the rooms are clean and tidy. I especially want to commend the staff for their honesty; I left my bag in the restaurant after breakfast, and it contained a lot of cash and my identification. The hotel staff immediately took it to the front desk for safekeeping and returned it to me when they saw me. Thumbs up!!

The room was clean, the hotel breakfast was delicious, and the surrounding area was convenient. It's very close to the beach, safe at night, and the hotel offers seafood. Everything is within walking distance, and there are many good restaurants nearby.

The hotel is rustic and authentic. It is no generic international standard hotel by any stretch but it is classy, arty and boutique. In a quiet backstreet but an easy walk anywhere around the fort. Breakfast is delicious and very good but can become a bit repetitive if staying more than a day so a couple of other options to select would be good. Service is very good and friendly from staff.

We had the best stay at Prince of Galle. Such a lovely location, with beautiful interior design and thoughtful attention to detail. A real highlight for us was the friendly and genuinely caring service from Rukman, Kapila, and Sarengh, who made sure we were well looked after throughout our stay. The breakfast was also fantastic. Truly a little gem in Galle, we would definitely come back. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special.

Don’t think twice about staying here, Prince of Galle is a real gem. Effortlessly stylish with classic colonial charm, perfectly located inside Galle Fort with everything within easy walking distance. The staff are exceptional and genuinely go above and beyond. Rooms are small but beautifully done and completely in keeping with the building’s character. The iced tea really is the best, and breakfast is on another level. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful colonial style hotel on a quiet side street within the fort itself. We were lucky enough to stay in the Kings Residence on the top floor. The style of the property is Sri Lankan colonial but with western comforts like air conditioning. The top floor suite includes an open plan sitting area with chairs and access to a small terrace to view the sunset.
The staff are so welcoming and pandered to our every need. The breakfast justifies its billing as superb and is a lovely combination of Sri Lankan flavours served in a western style.
