Nice hotel tucked away from the touristy centre but close enough to everything you need. Really helpful staff who arranged trips, drivers and gave us lots of useful advice. An amazing stay at Sigiriya Rock Hide. The place is amazing with cool rooms, great showers, a pool and some amazingly helpful staff that will do everything you ask. This place is in the very heart of Sigiriya, a couple of minutes by foot away from the main road. You can walk into any direction and find other restaurants, transport and even a karaoke bar. ^^ The pool is small and shallow but nice and the premises are kept very clean by the staff. We had a lovely stay there. The rooms are very clean, the manager is super kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and you have an amazing view from upstairs. It’s the perfect spot to calm down and watch some animals in the morning. It’s easy accessible by tuktuks. We recommend it a lot!! :)

Had a really good and comfortable stay at this property, it was a little far out from the city centre but they always provided tuk tuk transport when needed, even before sunrise when I was heading to Sigiriya Rock! We had a lovely 2 days in this hotel. The staff were polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and clean and the food was lovely. We have stayed at Sunshine resort & Spa for a total of 3 nights. The team is very caring and welcoming, supported us with our travel plans and even made it possible to do to elephant safari the same day. It has all the elements to be a very nice hotel. Our room had a fabulous view of the rock and was very spacious. The staff need prompting to deliver but are very pleasant and responsive. The temple close by broadcasts worship from 5.30 to 6.15 so avoid trying to nap at those times. Two good restaurants within walking distance offering simple but very nice food in authentic surroundings.

The double room we booked actually looked like it could accommodate three people. The cleanliness was acceptable, but the room was a bit cramped and the lighting was dim. This hotel is small but equipped with everything you need, there's even a swimming pool. Its about 10 mins to lion rock via tuktuk (little hard for us to get uber) but the hotel can organise tuktuk which makes it easy. Staff are friendly and attentive.

I stopped in here randomly one evening and had one of the best meals of my whole trip in Sri Lanka. I’ve been lacking protein and really enjoyed the mixed grill plate. He helped us out with tuktuks, early pickup for the sunrise etc. Across the road you can climb the boulders and watch the sunset. For breakfast, we had homemade chapati, and they even packed a lunch for our onward journey. Great place to stay in Sirigiya. Walkable to lion rock and pidurangala. We stayed in the treehouse which has a great view of both from the balcony. Room was very comfortable and especially a very comfy bed! Host was very friendly and helped us with all arrangements- including a scooter hire to drive to Polonnaruwa, which was one of our highlights.

Such a lovely spot in Sigirya, the staff and owner are super friendly and very helpful (they remembered my vegan dietary requirement at each meal). The food was amazing, the best coconut roti I’ve ever had! The views are second to none. The room was quite small and power did cut off every now and again but it is to be expected in a treehouse! We loved staying here and would recommend!

It was quiet and peaceful area. It has a lovely garden with a pool but the best part of this hotel is its lovely staff. Unfortunately in our villa the electrical power blew our two charging blocks and they cleaned a new room and took all our luggage to help us move. The rooms are big covered with a netting and there is air conditioning. They have tea and coffee facilities in the room and bottled water...

The breakfast is delicious. There's a wide selection of fruit. It's within walking distance of Sigiriya Rock. It might be the closest hotel in the area. Perfect for a girls' trip! There aren't many rooms, so it seems like a small establishment. I stayed for three nights, and only saw two other guests. So, I got a good night's sleep. However, the walls were a bit thin, so noise echoed.

The staff are absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for us.. The food was incredible as well. Definitely didn't go hungry. I never expect perfection but Sadly the rooms are poorly maintained, a funky smell and mould, the pool was green and not as the images online which was a shame. But we still had a fab stay.

It was late and we needed something affordable with a pool for the kids. With the amount of choice in the area, I wouldn't stay here again. The grounds are dusty and uninspiring and the front of the hotel looks like a neglected wedding venue. It was clean enough, and the pool was pleasant (if small, but served the purpose). Facilities promised on Booking were absent. If you do stay, be very careful...

sehr nettes Personal. spricht gutes Englisch. beim Frühstück und Abendessen wurden einem zusätzlich immer wieder ungefragt neue landestypische Speisen serviert, die sehr lecker waren. es ist zwar sehr abgelegen, dafür aber sehr ruhig. TukTuk wurde organisiert. Pool und Garten mehrfach täglich gereinigt. man hat sich hier echt wohl gefühlt. habe direkt noch um eine Nacht verlängert.
