Location was perfect for my request: second line but very close to the popular Surf points and Bars.
Very nice hotel with excellent service. Food was nice too. Located very close to the beach and other amenities. I recommend to anybody who is looking for a quiet and peaceful time while stay in Weligama, Sri Lanka.

Surf Bay Resort is a unique addition to Weligama Beach and is only four kilometers from Mirissa. Set in a colonial house built in 1895, the resort is a smart choice for travelers looking for a piece of local history.The hotel features six charming air- conditioned guest rooms with private bathrooms as well as Wi-Fi access. The close proximity to Weligama Beach allows guests to enjoy surfing, scuba-diving, whale watching, fishing, and swimming.
I stayed one night at Vila at Surf Bay Resort to attend a family wedding at Marriott. Very friendly staff. Looked at every need. Helped a lot to me. Very clean rooms. All the amenities were up to the standard. Food also very good. Would like to stay few more days again.

Good hostel for live
We stayed here for one night. There were a lot of backpackers who acted like it was a hostel. Not really my kind of taste. Also, there were a lot of mosquitos inside our mosquito net. Shouldn't the net keep the mosquitos outside instead of trap them inside?
