If you're looking for a place to stay without too much expectation, this might be an option, but it was the worst hotel I stayed at during my trip. The door slammed shut, they only provided shampoo after I asked for it, the room was old, and the bed wasn't clean.

The hotel was overbooked, so we were temporarily moved to another hotel. We returned to our original hotel the next morning, but neither hotel had hot water and the location was inconvenient, although the scenery was beautiful and the service was warm.

French garden is a lovely family run hotel. Beautiful gardens around a pool that even though it rained a lot while we were there, the kids spent a lot of time in the pool! A nice hotel that is tucked at the edge of the city that provides a cosy and quieter environment. The staff here were very friendly and the rooms were clean. Very quiet hotel, way up high in the hills above Kandy. The bonus is that you get a lot of peace and quiet and a nice swim in the pool after the chaos of Kandy itself. Nice place to stay in Kandy at the hill

Nice, clean place with very friendly owners. Good location. Real thrust worthy people who just want you to have a good time. They helped a lot with transportation (Tuktuk and train) and paying a good, fair price for it. Only the wifi was a little weak, the rest (including breakfast) was great!
