The hotel is closed to the train station, breakfast is good, room is big!

The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but the front desk staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a little basic, but considering the price, it was actually quite good. It's about a seven or eight-minute walk from the HBF (main train station).

Very bad experience at Hotel Montana Zürich.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
My valuables were stolen from my luggage after hotel staff explicitly instructed us to leave our bags in a designated area and assured us that it was “safe.”
The location provided was in the hotel’s restaurant area, an open space where people can freely walk in and out, with no proper supervision. We were not informed that the luggage room was full, nor were we warned about any risks or limitations of responsibility at the time.
When we returned, my iPad and MacBook were gone. The hotel provided no meaningful assistance, claimed that their CCTV system was not working, and denied any responsibility.
These justifications are unacceptable and do not change the fact that guests were placed in an unsafe situation.
This level of negligence and lack of accountability is extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
I strongly do NOT recommend staying here.‼️

The hotel management reassigned me to a smaller room, citing that the originally allocated room had been given to guests staying for multiple nights. This practice is unprofessional and does not reflect appropriate service standards. May refer to the check in form I signed, the original room was 415, I was assigned 511.

Amazing location only a very short walk from the train station. Breakfast continental buffet was lovely and the staff very friendly. No heating in the room but then we found a Dyson air blower in the cupboard which heated the room nicely. We also requested extra pillows which were sent to our room promptly. Lovely staff. A simple hotel at a great price.

It was a good 1-night stay in the city. The location was near to the HB & neat to the attractions. Overall, it was a nice place for a short stay.

The location is great due to its proximity to the train station. However, the hotel is not kept well. The TV didnt work,the mold on the curtains was absolutely unnaceptable, tthere are broken floor tiles in the rooms and light fixtures not installed correctly. Moreover, the cleaning staff knocked over things from the bedside table but rather than put it back left it for us to find and sort out ourselves. The breakfast is also repetitive and extremely underwhelming. The check out time was appreciated for being later than other hotels.

Hotel was of good value considering its location, amenities and inclusion of breakfast. Might look run down from the outside but it has very nice rooms inside, a pleasant surprise!
