Staying at a five star hotel one expects it be be just that. This hotel lacks so much that you would hope for in a five star. There was a warm welcome from the reception staff who showed us around the whole hotel, even to the sister one as some facilities are shared. Our room which overlooked the road, was disappointingly small. Accessing the wardrobe section was very tight for space. Houdini would have felt right at home here! The toilet was separate from the bathroom and the lighting in there was so poor. I complained to reception about this but nothing was done. The bathroom area had no door, just a flimsy curtain. The shower did not have a door either and like the toilet the lighting was awful. We were offered a welcome drink, but as yet some days later we still didn’t get it. The breakfast was disappointing. I prefer buffet style, that way you can choose exactly what you want. Here, you order from a menu and I have to say, the portion size was very poor.

A must for Crans Montana! First, one can never go wrong with a Relais & Chateaux property! Everything is thought through. Daily delicious treats in your room, exceptional housekeeping service, amazing amenities like a spa, sauna, steam room, bistro, 2* Michelin restaurant, and large pool for a hotel that has only 15 rooms! The food was fantastic, the accommodations had breathtaking views, comfortable bedding and furnishings, the shuttle service was at our beck and call, the dining suggestions, lining up ski equipment and instructors - EVERYTHING was beyond 5*. To top it all off, they were gracious and helpful and truly happy to give us the best stay. Love love loved it!

We had a wonderful trip to Crans-Montana and to this incredible hotel. Remy and all the staff there treated us with kindness and were so helpful in making our stay extraordinary. The place is beautiful, rooms gorgeous and the views from the deck are breathtaking. If you want a magical experience go and enjoy this incredible hotel and town. It's worth the effort to get there.

We booked a long weekend for my wife's 40th birthday- we wanted a cosy, authentic, boutique hotel with great service, food, views and late summer hikes. To say the stay was perfect is an understatement. All the team were attentive to our needs and helped make my wife's birthday a weekend to remember. We will return!

Every year when we pick up my sister from camp, our family stays at this amazing hotel—and it’s become one of the highlights of the trip. The staff are truly wonderful—always professional, attentive, and kind. A big thank you to Rémy, the manager, who goes above and beyond every time we visit. He’s incredibly thoughtful and helpful, and it really shows how much he cares about the guests. It’s rare to feel so looked after while still being able to fully relax. In addition, the rooms are beautiful, cozy, and peaceful. The views are absolutely stunning—every time we open the curtains, we’re reminded why we love coming back. The food is always delicious and fresh, and the service is excellent. This hotel has become a place full of memories for our family, and we truly look forward to staying here each year. It’s a rare find—calm, elegant, and full of heart.

This place is so unique, so special, such a gem, in the perfect spot, with the most kind, friendly, funny staff with whom we’ve ever been associated. My wife and I came honeymoon, two discerning 50-year-olds, who have seen the world, and this was it. The check in was friendly and fun, the rooms are unique and well positioned to see the mountains and the sun, the facility is warm friendly unique, the breakfast is elevated, the bistro and service is exquisite. From start to finish this is just magically fun and I say humorous. I say that because REMY at the Front Desk was by far in my lifetime the most helpful, funniest, animated host/concierge/friend/staff we have ever seen. Go now, go now before the World Cup in February because after the World Cup, the secret will be out!

We booked this Relais & Chateaux both for the food/ Michelin star as well as small property with intimacy & charm: from the moment we checked in and met the owner and her team of young, attentive staff, everything delivered was top notch service: location is central for shopping, skiing or dining , rooms are cosy with great views, understated decor and good bedding...Severine and her dedicated staff are always available to meet any request and try to make your stay ever more pleasant. Valentine's day dinner at the Bistro didn't disappoint with a great manager Camille who knows what she is doing. The Spa, shared with next door hotel, is nice but I would recommend also visiting Aida's (adult only sister property in town) that offers greater amenities & services to enjoy...All in all, a great hospitality standard delivered with a personal touch in a warm establishment that well represents the Relais & Chateaux experience in a mountain resort setting.

Our family has been to various hotels in the Alps for skiing, but Hostellerie du Pas de L'Ours is heads and shoulders above the rest. The staff members are not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but they can read your mind and anticipate your needs beforehand. One family member was due to arrive late at night, and without my asking, the hotel staff suggested and prepared a lovely snack that was well received. They seemed to always know when you're thirsty and would appear with a water bottle magically. We stayed in the Le Sommet Suite, which has a thoughtful floorplan with fantastic views. The hotel shuttle was also readily available to take us to and back from the slopes. The food was delicious and the spa was amazing. This hotel simply just gets everything right.
