Traditional luxury Grand hotel is situated in a quiet location in the centre of Zermatt. The rooms and suites are individually furnished, offer views of the mountains. Most of them have views of the Matterhorn. In the restaurant you can taste delicious dishes of Mediterranean cuisine and traditional Swiss cheese dishes like fondue and raclette. Rooms were beautiful, staff was beyond responsive to every need. They meet you at the train station and transfer to the hotel. Spa amenities were fabulous. Breakfast is served in the most beautiful room with a glass ceiling and incredible views. Won’t stay anywhere else in Zermatt!!

Absolutely unforgettable doesn’t even begin to cover our stay at Hotel Zermatterhof. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond in every possible way, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Nothing was ever too much trouble at any time, no matter how small the request. The level of service was simply exceptional and made us feel truly special throughout our stay.

The facilities are outstanding: elegant, immaculately maintained, and perfectly designed for both comfort and relaxation. Every detail reflects quality and thoughtfulness, creating an atmosphere of effortless luxury.

The location is nothing short of breathtaking. Set in the heart of Zermatt and surrounded by stunning Alpine scenery, it felt like stepping into a postcard, especially at Christmas. We were lucky enough to experience a truly magical Swiss Christmas, complete with snow-dusted mountains, festive charm, and an atmosphere that felt straight out of a fairytale.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The Zermatterhof didn’t just meet expectations, it exceeded them in every way. A flawless experience and a hotel we will treasure forever and absolutely return to.

Very bad stay experience. I brought a child to stay with me. I forgot to write the child's name when booking the room. The child was only 9 years old. I was told that I had to pay 140 francs, but the room was still my original room type. I really couldn't understand it. Besides, the child was so young. If it was charged for an adult, I could understand. It was a very unpleasant stay. A child under 12 years old lived with his mother. They told me that there was an extra person and they had to charge an extra person. And 140 francs, a child, are you kidding? It was too bad.

I checked into this hotel by coincidence. Maybe I didn't make a reservation in advance and ordered it at the last minute. Maybe because I was a poor student, the front desk receptionist was a little slow at first. But I did book a youth hostel. The train was delayed and I missed the check-in time, so I spent money to rebook here. The location is amazing. Some rooms can see the Matterhorn from the window. The facilities are great. The hotel gave me custom chocolate and red wine when I checked in. Except for alcoholic drinks, everything in the mini bar is free. The breakfast is generally good, but it does not meet the standards of this level. The French toast is like chewing wax, but considering it is in Switzerland, it is normal. There is a horse carriage pick-up service, which attracted the attention of passers-by. I tried it with caution.

Very good hotel with a view of the Matterhorn

The room is very nice. The location is excellent. You can see the Matterhorn mountain view, sunrise and sunset. The surrounding transportation is convenient. It is not far from the train station, about 500 meters, but it is all uphill. The hotel itself has a shuttle bus, but I didn't know it when I booked the hotel, so I had to drag my luggage for several hundred meters to the hotel after getting off the train. The breakfast was okay. The service staff was satisfactory. There was a capsule coffee machine in the room, and a few bottles of water were given. There were free soft drinks in the minibar, but alcohol was charged. However, unlike other hotels, it would not be stated what was free and what needed to be paid. I still called the front desk to find out. I think this should be improved. It is more warm to have free chocolates and red wine. Overall, it was not bad. The deduction was that the items mentioned above were not written very clearly.
