Very cosy hotel in a traditional style, natural colors and natural materials chosen for maximum guest comfort. There is a Spa and a gourmet restaurant.
Located in Zermatt, 2 km from the lower station of ski lifts, 80 km from the airport of Sion.
Consists of two chalets.Only 23 rooms.
On the hotel territory: restaurant, bar, Spa
Attractions: the grotto is a steam, herbal sauna and Finnish sauna, Jacuzzi, massage, gym
Mini-hotel opened in 2009. The distance to ski lift is 2 km.
The distance to the nearest airport is 80 km.

Thank you sooooo much Matthiol team. We had an amazing stay and the staff made it perfect. Will come back for sure. Can highly recommend the rooms with sauna.

Fantastic hotel for the price, pretty much everything is great except for the pillows. They seemed too light/airy to the point of just flattening when you lay on them.

Hotel is decorated and charges as "boutique" but allows guests to behave as tho in a holiday camp. Children run and shout unchecked, adults dressed solely in boxer shorts. Over-priced and not to be recommended in present management

Wonderful hotel with good views of the local mountains. Very few rooms have views of the Matterhorn, so ensure you make a specific request if that's important to you.
Afternoon tea is served at 3, but there's drinks available all day. The rooms do not have tea/coffee facilities, but again, these are available downstairs.
Some rooms have a private sauna, which is lovely after a day soaking up the fresh Zermat air.
I have taken a star off as in the large room with sauna, steam room and other great facilities, they do not provide a kettle or any way of making drinks in the evening, unless you're willing to pay for one from the restaurant. Cheap penny pinching like that put me off.

Lovely hotel. A little bit of a hike from the city centre, but that's how you get the beautiful views. Very clean, rooms are spacious, staff friendly and helpful. Pricing throughout Zermatt is on the high side but worth it for the stunning scenery.

Similar to other reviews, hospitality and service was phenomenal. Lisa and her team went over and above and made our stay easy and seamless.
The hotel looks recently refurbed/built and is excellent condition. Bathroom and shower great.
The other stand out is the kitchen/food. Absolutely great food. We can't wait to head back in winter.

as many other comments on this page, we have been really impressed by the quality of service and comfort of this hotel.
I agree, it is one of the best I have ever visit and everything is really beautifully designed and furnished.
Only thing to be aware of; the hotel is a little outside of the village center...depending on your affinities....
Restaurant and breakfast are also top of the art.
I can only strongly recommend the place to anyone spending a few days in Zermatt.

Great modern and nicely designed hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Just one nice detail: we had brought our bikes with and were pleasantly surprised by the facility and convenience of storing our bikes in a dedicated bike room with pumps, bike stand, high pressure bike washing equipment and access to tools ! Highly recommended for bikers.

This hotel was remodeled 2.5 years ago. Though the outside looks similar to many other local hotels, the interiors and the rooms have more of a modern feel and decor. The rooms are clean and staff was friendly. The disadvantage is that it is located about 20-30min walk from the train station and taxi one way costed us 34 Swiss francs for a 10 min ride. However, the hotel does offer free shuttle for arrival and departure (only).
