I checked into this hotel by coincidence. Maybe I didn't make a reservation in advance and ordered it at the last minute. Maybe because I was a poor student, the front desk receptionist was a little slow at first. But I did book a youth hostel. The room is very nice. The location is excellent. You can see the Matterhorn mountain view, sunrise and sunset. The surrounding transportation is convenient. It is not far from the train station, about 500 meters, but it is all uphill. The hotel itself has a shuttle bus, but I didn't know it when I booked the hotel, so I had to drag my luggage for several hundred meters to the hotel after getting off...

I was charged for an additional 288 Swiss FR for “additional guest”. when I checked out. only because I did not put My Son’s name when I did the booking, but I booked a twin room and my son naturally stay with me. not to mention he’s my 13 year old son. they can charge me for additional breakfast. The shuttle service, the reception, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the view are all top class. Prices are within acceptable range by Swiss standards. In addition to a beautiful sauna, the spa also has a cold room like a freezer, so if you're a sauna-loving Japanese, you'll be well equipped!The breakfast was also very delicious.

One of my favorite stays ever taken. We had a couple of untimely requests and they were met within minutes. And oh the views are mind boggling. Definitely coming back in the winter. Thanks to all the Riffelalp staff. See you again soon.

We end up at this place after lost wandering the hillside road looking for Google tagged panoramic view of Matterhorn. Lol. Glad found this place. Had breakfast here.

Pricey, just like everywhere in Zermatt; however, their parmesan truffle fries are absolutely delicious, and the service is great! Sit outside on the terrace if it's nice. Don't be afraid to ask for blankets, they have plenty. I hear their Sunday brunch is fantastic, although I can't vouch for that.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed, anywhere. Very clean, highly professional staff that go above and beyond, and the view and the amenities is absolutely prefect! The breakfast is excellent! Absolutely worth every penny!

Fantastic cuisine! Dishes are generally vegetarian but you can order meat or fish extra. I tried the "surprise" menu and was not disappointed. The service is especially good. Highly recommend it.
