I found that the QR code on the room's TV couldn't successfully add the front desk on WhatsApp. This same male staff member answered the phone when I called, saying we could resolve the issue the next morning

One of the highlights of my stay was dining at The Sands restaurant. The ambiance, service, and food were all amazing, making it a dining experience I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the resort

Honestly, everything was perfect, and most of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our butler, Tak, was also incredibly thoughtful

The rooms are beautiful and cleaned daily, there is always plenty of water topped up in the rooms and little touches that make the stay enjoyable. It is often busy around the pool if it is sunny so get there early

There are friendly security staff on hand 24 hours to ensure you cross safely and it’s worth it! We really liked the beach resort. Thank you Outrigger, cannot fault the wonderful service

We were worried before our stay about the road between the hotel and beach resort but it really is no issue

My partner and I stayed there for 6 nights in mid-January and we absolutely loved it. The hospitality is out of this world and we felt so welcomed and had the best experience ever

The room was spacious and very clean and it had all the amenities needed. The hotel app was a plus as it helped with planning things and activities too

We couldn’t find sun beds yesterday but the staff made sure to let us know as soon as some were available. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful

Bungalows right on the beach. Great place to relax. Infinity pool, possibility to jet ski nearby. On the other side, lots of restaurants, bars and Thai massage parlors. And the usual night market

Pros: Very good location: close to beach, several pools, outdoor showers, close to restaurants and shops, but far enough away for it not to be noisy (depending on room type, though)

A nice hotel in the heart of Lmi Beach, Koh Samui. We booked a standard room as it was a cheaper option but we found it very comfortable with air condition and a balcony

We had coffee making facilitiy in our room and a safe deposit box. All in all a really good choice. We used the fitness room which was ok and the swimming pool is stunning facing the beach

Great and cheap place. Very close to the sea. Good Wi-Fi. Every home can live for two people. In every room on request, a kettle. Cheap hot water in the evening Alla campaign, probably because it is heated by the sun.

We loved it and my boyfriend proposed to me on Lamai beach. We got married a year later and now 2 kids down and 24 years later we are still as happy. At that time there was Papa ( the owner) and a great PadThai

However, a short 15-minute walk takes you directly to Lamai Beach, where you'll find plenty of beach restaurants and even a night market that I highly recommend exploring

Koh Samui has a lot of beautiful public beaches which are not crowded, it's not worth over-paying for an average room to get access to a beach

This hotel is well-located and offers a very good, high-quality breakfast. There's a wide selection on the menu, even though it's not an all-you-can-eat buffet

It shows the place I imagine is being refurbished slowly but remains a very stylish resort, our pavilion pool room was out of this world and was a real luxury for us

Nice set up of the room ( air condition perhaps can be less noisy ) The resort of Small houses are build front the sea and the same time having view of palm and bambook forest front our veranda

The same goes for pool towels that were outworn, stained, and in some cases had holes. Breakfast selection felt underwhelming and limited for a 5-star hotel, although the gluten-free bread was excellent

The beach itself is fantastic. We were very pleased to see security on the beach who also helped set up umbrellas and arrange sun loungers

Exceptional and friendly service - secluded and quiet feel in the room but lively outside Private Pool was awesome

The cocktails at the bar during the day were disappointing (we tried a Piña Colada once and weren't tempted to order another). A major highlight is the excellent direct beach access with sun loungers

The hotel doesn't quite live up to a 5-star rating. However, it does have pleasant grounds, two pools, and a restaurant

Among the obvious drawbacks, the soundproofing in the rooms is extremely poor. We ended up with noisy neighbors who were also smoking ******** on their balcony (though it's legalized in Thailand)

We ate all three meals at the hotel, and the prices were reasonable, plus the restaurant had a beautiful view. In the afternoon, there was also free afternoon tea by the public pool

The view was absolutely stunning! We stayed in ocean view pool villa #28, and the mini-bar was generously stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks

I came to Thailand for a friend's wedding and took the opportunity to do some short-term traveling. The hotel was very comfortable, with an infinity pool that seamlessly blended with the sea, which was truly breathtaking

Although there were a lot of people at breakfast, their seating arrangement wasn't great, and they didn't allow guests to dine in bathrobes (which I understand, as I had just come from the pool)

Swimming pools are great, breakfast as well. The beach is beautiful but swimming there is not possible as it’s very shallow. Service was not consistent, sometimes great, sometimes less

My husband absolutely loves this hotel! The beach access is super convenient, and the welcoming drink was a nice touch. All the staff are really friendly and the breakfast is fantastic – you can even order off-menu items

I recommend the sea-view rooms; sitting by the window, enjoying the sea breeze, and looking out at the ocean was incredibly relaxing. 5 point deduction is for the breakfast restaurant staff

They offer free yoga classes in the morning. The beach is a bit rocky, making it difficult to swim. I recommend the dinner restaurant, the view is absolutely stunning!

Fantastic staff. Beautiful and clean villas and the whole property in general . There is no private beach for the property or beach at all and the location is bit cut off from the happening side of the island.

The pool villa where I stayed was very comfortable and peaceful. I am truly satisfied and will definitely return again

The staff were attentive, the villa was stunning and beautifully furnished — we loved the tropical style, the colors, and all the thoughtful details such as the coffee machine, the accessories you can use for photos, and the large bathtub

If you have a small number of guests the night before breakfast, it would be a good idea to ask guests to fill out a questionnaire about what they'll be eating for breakfast (as other hotels do) so as not to wait and waste precious time

Whenever I needed anything, it was never a problem — on the contrary, everything was taken care of immediately. Regarding the food, we truly enjoyed both the dinner and the breakfast. Everything was beautifully clean

This is a good hotel with a very convenient location for shops and restaurants. The beach itself is just okay, but that's pretty much the case for all of Lamai Beach, nothing new there

However, we visited during the low season, and the hotel was only 15-20% occupied, so there was plenty for everyone

They don't have their own sun loungers, and it's a 3-minute walk to the beach

We stayed at this hotel from January 14th to 29th, 2026. The location is excellent, with a magnificent property and standalone bungalows. We stayed in a bungalow with a sea view

The breakfast was superb, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. There are two pools with perfectly clean water, a gym, and three private access points to small beach areas

They even provide service call red taxi(no shuttle bus) but the staffs very helpful. I love the small private beach but also can access to big beach

Just returned from a week at this absolutely exceptional place and I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Thailand. If 10 stars were an option, this would get them without hesitation

Since we had a car, it didn't matter to us whether there were shops nearby or not. Overall, it's a fantastic hotel; if we visit Koh Samui again, we'll definitely come back here

The Rock is a very nice hotel in Lamai on Koh Samui. It's located on a busy main road, but it's built into the hillside down to the sea, so you don't hear any of the road noise from the hotel or the beach

We had a lovely room with a sea view from the small veranda. It was clean, and the breakfast was delicious

The beach is rocky and perfect for viewing, with few people disturbing you, allowing you to enjoy the sea in peace and quiet! The front desk lady was very welcoming, and the young lady was very nice

A quiet, romantic place with sea views, and easy to drive. There is a rocky beach in front, not a typical white sand beach, so you have to walk a little further to swim.

😊 The hotel grounds are beautifully designed and landscaped, and the pool area with its sea view is especially lovely at any time of day

First class resort all around. The villas are fantastic and the staff are very attentive and friendly. They offer a great shuttle service all over the island into Chaweng and Lamai. Amazing, can’t say enough good things.

My family and I stayed here for two nights in a three bedroom, three bathroom villa and loved it! The private infinity pool was beautiful and the spacious villa gave everyone their own space

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at Zara Beach Resort, Koh Samui! We had an amazing time at Zara Beach Resort, it truly exceeded all our expectations! Even though it’s officially a 3-star resort, the experience felt like a 5-star stay thanks to the incredible people who run it

A big night market is nearby with lots of food options and a bar that has live music, which made the evenings really fun. I stayed in Villa number 2, which was very spacious and had a beautiful sea view

The hotel manager was always available, ready to give advice or help with taxi services and activities. Overall, Zara Beach Resort is a comfortable, well-located place

I can wholeheartedly recommend staying at Zara Beach Resort, it may have three stars on paper, but the people behind it make it a genuine five-star experience

There are also many beach bars and places to go out within walking distance, so it’s easy to enjoy both relaxing and going out

A special shout-out to Elaine, the hotel manager, she is simply outstanding! Professional, attentive, and hardworking, Elaine made sure we had everything we needed at all times

The coffee were great!! My favorite thing each morning. The room wasn't bad, spacious & lovely sea room view. We ordered drinks at the bar, whilst at the pool, and they were terribly slow with our order

Not crowded & we pretty much had the pool to ourselves all the time. The breakfast was ok, perhaps more options for vegetarians, maybe have some cheese, but overall not too bad

Great view of the beach and pool from my balcony. It was a bargain to have got this place for the amount of money paid. The breakfast provided was to a quality standard 🤌. The view from the breakfast lounge is so unreal

The hotel is split into 3 levels, as you walk in you go into reception, then down a flight of steps to the resteraunt abs then down a further set to the pool area

Benz on reception is always smiling and very helpful. Our room was one of the villas, great sized clean room, only wished the towels was changed daily, very small thing to say for such a great friendly hotel

A little out of the main area of Lamai, but still good accommodation, the staff are all very welcoming and friendly, special mention to the pool bar staff, who were wonderful to us during our stay, making sure we were always had cold drinks on hand

Their is also a gym and a beach side massage area, which is very good. The food is not of the best quality for a 4 star hotel, but if you don't mind quick poolside snacks then this is fine

The street next to the hotel is very loud, breakfast is great, Lunch not very good. Gym is small, pool only available between 7 and 7. Rest is great. AC in good condition, rooms are clean, bed and bathroom are great

The hotel is located 2km south of Lamai beach, in quite a secluded bay

We also loved that we could book free courses (body stretching, Muay Thai, cooking class, etc. The spa area is also highly recommended. We rented a scooter through the hotel, and it all went smoothly

One thing to be aware of is you are next to a busy road, which can be noisy at night due to fast cars and scooters travelling down it, but no big issue

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and would definitely recommend it! The rooms are lovely, clean, and stylishly decorated with a Muay Thai theme

There is not enough swimming pool, then it would be perfect. There is a night market nearby and the street turns into a restaurant, but it is quiet and does not disturb, there is no music

Great hotel located above the local Lamai Night Plaza! There are many fun bars and tons of delicious restaurants within walking distance and everything shuts down around 11pm so it’s not keeping you up all night! Ac worked great and the room was huge with very comfortable bedding

It's a 10-minute walk to the night market, where they have a wide variety of food. There is a huge Lotus nearby - good things, not just food. Cleaning every day, they gave us water even if we forgot to ask for cleaning

The staff, I would say, is super polite and efficient. The only negative is that there is no clothes dryer, but we hung them on chairs opposite the air conditioning unit - everything dried quickly under the warm air

Had fun people watching from our room and had a delicious dinner downstairs where we chose our fish and lobster! Really cool location

Large room, clean linen and towels, good internet, comfortable mattresses, all equipment in good working order, no complaints about water temperature and pressure. The balcony for relaxation is huge in my opinion

This is a good hotel with three buildings and its own cozy courtyard. It has a nice, small pool, and there's also a large parking lot for motorbikes and cars

The hotel is about a kilometer from Lamai Beach. Right outside, you'll find Lamai Market, a pharmacy, restaurants, and massage places – it's incredibly convenient

Plenty of cafes and shops are within walking distance, and it's not far from the sea. Breakfast isn't included, but it's not really needed

They bring you new water everyday and the swimming pool is a great place to cool off

If you read my review you must book the front beach right now because of it fantastic. you will surprise with ceiling shower that is incredible. The front beach is suitable to couple and honeymoon

We stayed here for 7 days at the end of January 2026. We received an upgrade to a beach bungalow with a direct view of the beach

There are also plenty of nearby dining choices both on the beach and along the main road. The location is at the far end of Lamai Beach, so it's not central. We found it to be a good spot

What more could you ask for? The bungalow was fantastic and fully equipped, even featuring a rooftop terrace. However, we barely used the rooftop, as the balcony was more than sufficient

We only went to the terrace on Thursday evening to watch the weekly fireworks show from there. When you first turn off the main road, it can be a bit startling as the access road looks a bit run-down

But the resort itself is very clean. The dining options seemed good; we only booked accommodation and had breakfast once. There was a huge selection, enough to satisfy anyone

I was disappointed because one of the main reasons we booked was the pool by the ocean however, when we arrived, the pool was green. The breakfast was OK and the staff were really nice

The location on the island is convenient, but having a scooter is really helpful for getting from the hotel to nearby places (beach, restaurants, activities)

We found it a good warm-up, even though it's not very far from the restaurant to reception (the furthest distance). The buggy runs on request and continuously, and it's always done with a friendly smile

Honestly, everyone working here is friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome! Our room was lovely in terms of size and space. The bathroom is a bit old-fashioned but functional

The hotel arranges this perfectly! You don't even have to pick up the scooter yourself. The walk across the grounds is indeed only manageable for those who are physically fit
