The service was ravishing. Because of an issue with our standard room, they upgraded us to a villa. They also did their best to prepare some surprises for my girlfriend’s birthday. Overall, a very nice and memorable stay.

Baan Hin Sai was overall good. You could tell the rooms were very old and the bathroom as well. It did feel clean, however, because . It does need a renovation or better maintenance. I was disappointed because one of the main reasons we booked was the pool by the ocean however, when we arrived, the pool was green. The breakfast was OK and the staff were really nice. Overall I would say there is nicer options and as it’s at the top of the hill, it’s not reachable by foot. no

Honestly, everyone working here is friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome! Our room was lovely in terms of size and space. The bathroom is a bit old-fashioned but functional. We did notice small insects getting into the room quite easily. The location on the island is convenient, but having a scooter is really helpful for getting from the hotel to nearby places (beach, restaurants, activities). The hotel arranges this perfectly! You don't even have to pick up the scooter yourself. The walk across the grounds is indeed only manageable for those who are physically fit. We found it a good warm-up, even though it's not very far from the restaurant to reception (the furthest distance). The buggy runs on request and continuously, and it's always done with a friendly smile. We had a great stay!

This hotel has a surprisingly good location, nestled on a quiet, tree-lined hill. However, the building itself is quite old, and the air conditioning isn't very strong. The staff provides good service, but you'll need to communicate in English as most of them are foreign workers.

This hotel is all about nature, tranquility, and the feeling of living right inside a jungle. The hotel grounds are incredibly well integrated into the surrounding landscape: lush greenery, massive rocks, and varying elevations – everything looks completely natural, without the impression that nature was 'forced' to accommodate construction.

During our stay, we saw monitor lizards on the property twice. They scurry away and hide immediately, but the very fact of having such neighbors is more of a positive, confirming that the place is alive and authentic. It's really cool that the hotel exists in harmony with the natural environment, rather than instead of it.

Upon check-in, we were offered drinks (though quite sweet), and they thoroughly answered all our questions. Throughout our stay, they were always available and assisted with any issues that came up. Guests are driven around the property by Thai staff in two electric buggies, which is convenient given the hotel's terrain and size.

Every evening, musicians play and sing at the bar near the reception. The atmosphere is very lively and warm: you can dance, sing karaoke, and they even offer complimentary alcoholic cocktails, which is a pleasant and unexpected touch.

Mornings here are a special delight. There's a stunning view of the sunrise, the sea breaking against the coastal rocks, and lots of sea foam. It's incredibly beautiful and meditative. The sea is clean.

Breakfasts are buffet-style, but without a 'wow' factor. Our rating for the food is 6 out of 10: neither the presentation, approach, taste, nor variety impressed us. We didn't have lunch, dinner, or the festive menu, so we're only rating the breakfasts.

The staff are welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. This is one of the hotel's strong advantages.

We used the pool with views of the sea and rocks – the pool was clean, and we never saw anyone else in it during our entire stay, which added to the sense of seclusion and privacy.

PS for the hotel: It would be great to create a hub area near the reception – a place where guests could spend time during the day and evening. A table tennis table, billiards, and a small area with a pull-up bar and parallel bars would fit in perfectly.

What an absolutely wonderful experience at Baan Hin Sai Resort!
The resort itself is a harmonious blend of natural beauty, comfort, and traditional design. Waking up to the stunning views and spending afternoons by the breathtaking infinity pool overlooking the sea were highlights. Our spacious, clean room provided the perfect retreat.
But what truly elevates this resort is the staff. They were unfailingly polite, helpful, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed with a constant smile. Combine that exceptional service with a delicious breakfast and a prime, peaceful location, and you have a definite 5-star recommendation for anyone seeking relaxation and great hospitality on Koh Samui.

Lovely quiet location with very friendly and helpful staff. Booked the private pool villa that had great views and spacious balcony. It is set amongst a cliff face so walking around can be difficult but not an issue as there is also a very quick golf cart service available. Grab and local taxis to and from main areas of Samui are quick and easy and staff helped to order in items from local 711 when needed. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay
