Weekender Resort in Lamai Beach

I normally dont write reviews, but I feel as if my wife and I have been somewhat ripped off.

The quality of these rooms and very poor, especially for the price. Especially the bathroom.
Shower didnt work at first, upon finally getting it to work it sprays water outside the shower. There is inadequate drainage on the tiled floor so the water just pools and does drain away, absolutely appalling. (Pictures supplied but can't properly see in photos)
Around the edge of the bath is dirty from some sort of soapscum or mould build up.
Very disappointing to see a two in one bath and shower, failed to mention on the website.
I do not recommend staying here.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst value-for-money stays we’ve had in Thailand.

The standard rooms are massively run down and clearly not maintained to match the price level. For 90€ per night (what we paid), this is simply unacceptable. At best, a standard room here is worth around 40€ per night in my opinion.

The pool is broken on so many levels it’s hard to count—tiles missing, lose cables going into the water, poor maintenance, and an overall neglected feeling. The breakfast was extremely disappointing, with fewer and lower-quality options than you’d expect even from a basic hostel in the EU.

I normally don’t write negative reviews, but I’m making an exception to warn other travelers not to book this place at the price we paid. Yes, many accommodations on Samui are overpriced, but this one stands out—in a bad way.

One additional note: the general atmosphere around Lamai Beach has changed significantly. It now seems to cater mostly to 60+ retirement couples and sex tourists, with very few (if any) families or younger travelers, which may or may not matter depending on what you’re looking for.

Overall, the location alone does not justify the price. There used to be far better options on the island.

The showers in the rooms are salty instead of fresh water, the pool is salty, the cleaning is poor, the prices are unreasonably high, the beach is dirty. When I asked why the salty water was leaking in my room, they immediately offered to return my money and go look for a new hotel (December 30th). The management knew perfectly well that it was impossible to find a hotel for those dates. In short, if you want to get all your nerves, book this hotel.

I stayed with my family for holiday & received poor communication with the manager & receptionists. We tried to resolve the issue we had whilst staying at the hotel, so we tried to discuss with the management upon leaving the hotel, & they asked us to pay still. Perfect location but no respect whatsoever from the receptionists & manager. Unfair treatment. Had to leave the place immediately.

The worst and most unfriendly Manager I have ever met in Thailand. Not only the booking information on their website was unclear about an extra bed in the bungalows but also the unfriendly welcome and unprofessional behavior was disappointing. Finally they have charged us a very small towel that they couldn’t wash properly (our fault of course due to the fullmoon party colors) for 500 baht. Ridiculous!
