Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort in Lamai Beach

Myself and my partner have just had a wonderful stay at the Outrigger hotel in Ko Samui. From the airport pickup to our last day - everything was perfect. The staff are wonderful (a big shout out to May and the kind reception staff). The rooms are beautiful and cleaned daily, there is always plenty of water topped up in the rooms and little touches that make the stay enjoyable. It is often busy around the pool if it is sunny so get there early. We couldn’t find sun beds yesterday but the staff made sure to let us know as soon as some were available. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful.
We were worried before our stay about the road between the hotel and beach resort but it really is no issue. There are friendly security staff on hand 24 hours to ensure you cross safely and it’s worth it! We really liked the beach resort.

My partner and I stayed there for 6 nights in mid-January and we absolutely loved it. The hospitality is out of this world and we felt so welcomed and had the best experience ever. The room was spacious and very clean and it had all the amenities needed. The hotel app was a plus as it helped with planning things and activities too.

Ken the morning stretch instructor is fantastic as well as Palm the yoga instructor. We really enjoyed these activities offered at the hotel. Joy, the housekeeper assigned to our room did a great job too - the housekeeping team was overall wonderful, we actually lost a Baht note and they found it and returned it to us. Their honesty and integrity really touched us.

On top of that, the front of house/reception team was delightfully, in particular Mook, Mario and Jamie the porter who were very friendly and answered to our questions and any requests.

Regarding the Edgewater restaurant, the food was fantastic there and we loved the Barbecue and fire show night with the live band. The selection there is great and caters to everyone. The breakfast selection is equally as great. The head chef Joe, came to talk to us and he was great and personable too.

The added bonus was having the security guards help cross the road safely to access the restaurant and beach.

In terms of location, it is right on a busy road but it is very well located with launderettes and corner shops around the corner, as well as some restaurants. We liked the fact we could easily walked into Lamai too.

We highly recommend to book a stay there if you’re visiting Koh SAMUI and we would ourselves stay there again.

The staff were really welcoming and looked after us. Great location and access to amenities. Access to beach and pools.
The only issue we had was the slight damp smell in the room, which we believe is probably the building itself. We had changed rooms initially but was also in new room. It wasnt offensive, just probably needs to be kept an eye on. I would definitely recommend and go back.
Breakfast was amazing each morning with so much choice for everyone. Food was well done and fresh.

Fabulous team and surroundings. Nice food. Main big pool area across the road but 2 lovely men will flag down traffic to get you across the street. Pools are really nice. Beach is small I front of the hotel area but you can walk further up to an area which has more white sand. Rooms were very well kept. Breakfast was lovely and location was great. Some parking for cars too. Has a small gym a games room for the kids too with a pool table. Slide on one of the pools too. There is also a pool near the bedrooms too but shaded due to its location. Still lovely to use. Would defo saty there again.thanks to all the team there..they were so friendly.

The staff here are all extraordinary - very kind and friendly people, who will go the extra mile for you. They remember your name, and always checking if you need anything.

The rooms are beautiful, so big and comfy, and very clean. Lots of mirrors, towels, robes, plug sockets and a separate sofa with tv area to relax in. And cute towel decoration too!

We had a couple of issues with ours though - first night, our bathroom flooded due to an issue with the drains but this was quickly resolved by by maintenance and the second night our air conditioning wouldn’t work, this was fixed the next day and we were temporarily moved to another room to sleep. Although frustrating, we appreciate it was two breakdowns out of control and the manager did email us with an apology and solution quickly.

The pool was really good, very clean and always plenty of comfortable sun-beds available with towels. We enjoyed relaxing here!

Breakfast was great, lots of selection and all kept hot. I’d recommend including breakfast in your stay as that’s worth the money.

The club lounge food was nice, although some of it cold even under the heat lamp it was nice to have that option.

The location is good, 7 eleven is next door for any snacks you may want for your room and a 10-15 minute walk to Lamai night market and the bars. One thing to note is the hotel and pool/restaurant (Edgewater) are split by a busy road but there are always security staff there helping you to the cross the road who take the safety very seriously.

Overall, it’s a nice hotel which I think a little overpriced (especially the restaurant!) but I would recommend a visit - we done a 3 night break here in between our travels which was enough.

The hotel is a bit old and a little overpriced. Otherwise, it's pretty okay. It's a bit out of the way, but you should rent a scooter anyway, then it's no longer an issue.

My family and I have a lot of great memories together when we stayed in the resort.This place had a lot of friendly people and full of smiles.My daughter loved to spend time in the kid club because all staff there very friendly and helpful.We have a good time at the pool and they provide great service including the restaurant for breakfast.Thank you for all your hard work and taking care of us.

We chose this hotel because we wanted to experience Lamai from Chaweng Beach area. The hotel is definitely beautiful and has a lot of things you might need. It’s definitely children friendly, with many different pools and a games room, children’s club, etc. the games room has things for adults as well such as a pool table, table tennis and table hockey. To do things in the hotel, it is all quite completed through their app, where you can book your reservations and order extra amenities you might need e.g. slippers.
The pool and beach are on the opposite side of the road but don’t let this put you off because it isn’t very far and the service is wonderful.
There was some amenities such as ear buds, shower cap, etc. which I thought would be in the room but there wasn’t. If you need these, you may need to ask reception. The prices are the pool are quite expensive but I guess it’s what should be expected with a hotel like this.

Very elegant hotel but didn’t realise the larger pool and lounge area is across a main road. But overall good location. Cleanliness is good. I got a garden view room right at the back but then they changed it because there was too much noise and I couldn’t sleep. Staff are friendly. Private beach area. They have kayaks and paddle boarding free for guests as well as yoga. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and about a 15 min walk to lamai night market. Would stay again.
