Honestly, everything was perfect, and most of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our butler, Tak, was also incredibly thoughtful. My only complaint was that on the day we checked in, I wasn't sure if the person who checked us in and took us to our room was our assigned butler. It was a male staff member. I found that the QR code on the room's TV couldn't successfully add the front desk on WhatsApp. This same male staff member answered the phone when I called, saying we could resolve the issue the next morning. It wasn't until our third day that we learned each villa has its own dedicated butler. Later, when we inquired at the front desk, our butler Tak contacted us and explained that the previous butler, named Ming, had finished his shift. It was only then that I managed to add the substitute butler, Tak, on WhatsApp. Tak gave us many suggestions for exploring Koh Samui and provided information about the hotel. Coincidentally, when we checked out, it was the same male staff member who handled it. Our bill actually included a charge that wasn't ours. After I pointed it out, he didn't offer any explanation, just gave me a new bill. He didn't apologize for the error, nor did he explain why this incorrect charge appeared on our bill. The rough service level didn't quite match the hotel's positioning. This was the only part of our entire trip that left me feeling uncomfortable.

The master bedroom and other facilities are great, but the second bedroom is a bit small and cramped, which wasn't ideal. However, the breakfast was good, and the service was excellent.

Spent part of our honeymoon here! Beautiful beach and excellent service! Our room had a sweet pool and hot tub. Chan did an amazing job helping us with adjusting our itinerary as needed! Good hotel to relax and get some quiet time. I’d recommend for a trip where you are looking to spend a lot of relaxing time at the resort to get your money’s worth!

One of the most stunning views I’ve experienced. From the staff, to the views, and the amenities, all top notch. I absolutely loved waking up to an infinity pool and a breathtaking view of the ocean each morning. It’s an incredibly relaxing experience and you can stay on the resort your entire stay or call a grab to explore other parts of the island. I did a spa afternoon and spent the rest of the day by the pool and it was all incredibly zen.

We spent 3 nights here and we had such a wonderful time. The partial ocean view villa is just perfect, the sunset was incredible, the pool at the perfect temperature. Every little touch in the villa was meant to make you feel better than at home. The breakfast is incredibly good and the complimentary activities led by Rang are very fun and interesting. The turn down service though has been my favorite part, so perfect! I will definitely come back!

I have no words to describe how incredible our stay at Banyan Tree Samui was. Tak took such amazing care of us — she was warm, friendly, and truly professional. From the fun, exciting (this little golf cart is climbing the whole mountain to your luxury villa) buggy rides to the stunning private beach and our luxurious villa, every moment felt top tier. The resort has absolutely everything you could need, and the attention to detail is unmatched. Our private pool, the breathtaking ocean views, and the overall peacefulness made it feel like our own little paradise. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable — we can’t wait to come back!

Just a small note: the resort is tucked away from the main streets, so you’ll need to arrange transport if you plan to explore outside — but honestly, once you’re here, you may never want to leave. 🌴💆‍♀️☀️

We spent a week at Banyan Tree Koh Samui in late October to early November for a couples’ escape, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our Pool Villa was beautiful and spotless, with plenty of privacy, an easy 5/5. Service was the standout. Tak and the team seemed to read our minds: they remembered our coffee order and offered it the moment we sat down to breakfast; after an Elephant Sanctuary visit left our shoes muddy, someone immediately offered to clean them; and when we asked for an ice bucket one evening, they kept topping it up without us ever having to ask again. Truly top notch and worthy of 5/5.

Breakfast overall was very good (4/5), with lots of fresh, high quality fruit and a solid variety. Compared with similar luxury resorts it is just shy of exceptional; a couple more made to order or rotating signature items would push it over the top. The beach setup and service were great too, easy to get loungers and quick help when needed. We also used the gym a lot and it was always clean and ready to go, with everything neatly stocked.

Check in and check out were smooth, the buggy service around the resort was efficient, and WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay.

All in, we loved the calm, romantic vibe and the thoughtful touches from Tak and the team. We would happily come back. Villa 5/5, Service 5/5, Breakfast 4/5.

I booked via trip.com to enjoy the easy management of bookings and discounts. The hotel contacted me soon after confirmation of booking via email and whatsapp.
Scenery was needless to say - beautiful and serene.
Service was 100/100. Truly enjoyed every moment and were well taken care of from check in, to villa, to joining spa/ all activities until the moment of checking out.
Special thanks to the recreation staff Jate, who took us for a walk around the hotel, sailed us out to the ocean and took lots of nice photos! Very kind hearted and humorous!
Shout out to our villa host, Abby, who curated a memorable stay for us, giving my fiance a special birthday surprise, and always taking care of us for our itinerary and booking transportation/ restaurants!
Thanks to the in-villa dining staff, Bungie, for hosting us a memorable private dining experience at the infinity point.
Spa was good as always, with nice villa for each couple and outstanding service and massage skills, as well as well-being rituals.
10/10 recommend and would definitely come back!
