I found that the QR code on the room's TV couldn't successfully add the front desk on WhatsApp. This same male staff member answered the phone when I called, saying we could resolve the issue the next morning

The villa itself was stunning, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort with breathtaking views. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and the breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options

Honestly, everything was perfect, and most of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our butler, Tak, was also incredibly thoughtful

The resort has absolutely everything you could need, and the attention to detail is unmatched. Our private pool, the breathtaking ocean views, and the overall peacefulness made it feel like our own little paradise

We spent a week at Banyan Tree Koh Samui in late October to early November for a couples’ escape, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our Pool Villa was beautiful and spotless, with plenty of privacy, an easy 5/5

The rooms are beautiful and cleaned daily, there is always plenty of water topped up in the rooms and little touches that make the stay enjoyable. It is often busy around the pool if it is sunny so get there early

We also enjoyed a cooking class in the hotel as part of the deal we bought and we super liked it! Also the kids club is great, the gaming room and the free cocktails happy hour. It was so hard leaving this hotel…

Myself and my partner have just had a wonderful stay at the Outrigger hotel in Ko Samui. From the airport pickup to our last day - everything was perfect

There are friendly security staff on hand 24 hours to ensure you cross safely and it’s worth it! We really liked the beach resort. Thank you Outrigger, cannot fault the wonderful service

On top of that, the front of house/reception team was delightfully, in particular Mook, Mario and Jamie the porter who were very friendly and answered to our questions and any requests

Regarding the Edgewater restaurant, the food was fantastic there and we loved the Barbecue and fire show night with the live band. The selection there is great and caters to everyone

I had a great stay at this resort. We booked a Plunge Pool suite which was as expected (although slightly less private and cold!). The resort is well maintained and has a beautiful pool and beach access

The hotel is great, with an excellent location. There are also beach performances in the evenings. The service is good, and it's very close to the night market

The hotel doesn't quite live up to a 5-star rating. However, it does have pleasant grounds, two pools, and a restaurant

On the bright side, when we reported this to reception, they immediately gave us a key to another room so we could get some much-needed sleep there, which we did. In terms of service, the hotel staff deserves a 5/5

The cocktails at the bar during the day were disappointing (we tried a Piña Colada once and weren't tempted to order another). A major highlight is the excellent direct beach access with sun loungers

This’s really really nice beach club in lamai I cale here in the first time I enjoying with this place. I’m not staying here but I can do kayak and pool for free but you have to order something to eat or drinks

Cleaning is daily. The pool is also cleaned daily. There's security on site, and no one is allowed in. It's perfectly quiet and peaceful. The beach is a one-minute walk away.

It's very touristy. Almost felt like I wasn't in Thailand. If you just want to be at a nice beach with swimming pools. You will probably enjoy it. The service was great.

We ate all three meals at the hotel, and the prices were reasonable, plus the restaurant had a beautiful view. In the afternoon, there was also free afternoon tea by the public pool

The view was absolutely stunning! We stayed in ocean view pool villa #28, and the mini-bar was generously stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks

We were traveling with a 6-year-old child, and the resort made her feel very special by providing a dedicated welcome set, including personal care items and a bathrobe for swimming

This hotel choice was truly excellent! I booked two nights, one in a sea-view room and the other in a sea-view villa 🏠

I have to say, the rooms were actually better in person than in the hotel's promotional photos, which was a pleasant surprise! 👍🏼 The breakfast was good too, mostly à la carte, but the real highlight was the incredible view, which truly impressed me ✌️

The restaurant at the resort is exceptional, offering fantastic food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

The pools are a nice temperature and always spotless! The breakfast included was delicious and full of Thai Delights

My husband absolutely loves this hotel! The beach access is super convenient, and the welcoming drink was a nice touch. All the staff are really friendly and the breakfast is fantastic – you can even order off-menu items

I came to Thailand for a friend's wedding and took the opportunity to do some short-term traveling. The hotel was very comfortable, with an infinity pool that seamlessly blended with the sea, which was truly breathtaking

Although there were a lot of people at breakfast, their seating arrangement wasn't great, and they didn't allow guests to dine in bathrobes (which I understand, as I had just come from the pool)

I recommend the sea-view rooms; sitting by the window, enjoying the sea breeze, and looking out at the ocean was incredibly relaxing. 5 point deduction is for the breakfast restaurant staff

However, I'm not sure if it was a language barrier, but their attitude was not very good. I also tried the hotel's spa. The environment was excellent and very private; I heard it was even an award-winning spa

Bungalows right on the beach. Great place to relax. Infinity pool, possibility to jet ski nearby. On the other side, lots of restaurants, bars and Thai massage parlors. And the usual night market

Pros: Very good location: close to beach, several pools, outdoor showers, close to restaurants and shops, but far enough away for it not to be noisy (depending on room type, though)

We had coffee making facilitiy in our room and a safe deposit box. All in all a really good choice. We used the fitness room which was ok and the swimming pool is stunning facing the beach

We loved it and my boyfriend proposed to me on Lamai beach. We got married a year later and now 2 kids down and 24 years later we are still as happy. At that time there was Papa ( the owner) and a great PadThai

We stayed here in one of these huts in 2000 for the millennium celebrations, I am writing this review in 2024 and they look no different. We had cold showers and basic huts just the same back then

The resort is beautiful, the beach is stunning with many bars and restaurants right outside along the main street

The pool villa where I stayed was very comfortable and peaceful. I am truly satisfied and will definitely return again

The hotel is beautiful but remote. The beach wasn't particularly noteworthy, but it was still beautiful and peaceful. There was a 50-inch TV, but no channels. The fitness center was small and cramped

The staff were attentive, the villa was stunning and beautifully furnished — we loved the tropical style, the colors, and all the thoughtful details such as the coffee machine, the accessories you can use for photos, and the large bathtub

If you have a small number of guests the night before breakfast, it would be a good idea to ask guests to fill out a questionnaire about what they'll be eating for breakfast (as other hotels do) so as not to wait and waste precious time

Whenever I needed anything, it was never a problem — on the contrary, everything was taken care of immediately. Regarding the food, we truly enjoyed both the dinner and the breakfast. Everything was beautifully clean

This is a good hotel with a very convenient location for shops and restaurants. The beach itself is just okay, but that's pretty much the case for all of Lamai Beach, nothing new there

However, we visited during the low season, and the hotel was only 15-20% occupied, so there was plenty for everyone

Everything about the hotel was great, but the water pressure needs to be increased. The water flow was very poor.

The coffee were great!! My favorite thing each morning. The room wasn't bad, spacious & lovely sea room view. We ordered drinks at the bar, whilst at the pool, and they were terribly slow with our order

Not crowded & we pretty much had the pool to ourselves all the time. The breakfast was ok, perhaps more options for vegetarians, maybe have some cheese, but overall not too bad

A quiet hotel, but within walking distance to a more livelier nightlight. We had an early morning checkout & the hotel prepared a breakfast box for us, which was nice. Next time, we'll try another hotel in Koh Samui

More English speaking staff would be better & they should step up their service level. Great location, as it's a 20 minute walk to Lamai market & the walk along the beach was nice in the morning after breakfast

We returned it, saying it wasn't what we ordered & 5 minutes later, they brought out the same drink. 😅 we ordered a mango smoothie & they brought a chocolate milkshake

Happy hour not the best, only 3 choices , beer and two cocktails. When we ordered, they took 30 minutes to bring our drinks & got the order wrong

A little out of the main area of Lamai, but still good accommodation, the staff are all very welcoming and friendly, special mention to the pool bar staff, who were wonderful to us during our stay, making sure we were always had cold drinks on hand

The street next to the hotel is very loud, breakfast is great, Lunch not very good. Gym is small, pool only available between 7 and 7. Rest is great. AC in good condition, rooms are clean, bed and bathroom are great

Benz on reception is always smiling and very helpful. Our room was one of the villas, great sized clean room, only wished the towels was changed daily, very small thing to say for such a great friendly hotel

The bar and restaurant at the poolside with the green landscape make up for the service and room. The staffs at the poolside bar & restaurants are friendly and helpful. Nice ambience to chill out in the evening

Hotel was nice and clean durin our stay. Staff is extremely helpfull. Breakfast is quite simple but you can find all the most common ingredients. Bead was widest i have ever seen.

However, a short 15-minute walk takes you directly to Lamai Beach, where you'll find plenty of beach restaurants and even a night market that I highly recommend exploring

Despite the noise, the beauty of the rooms, the private pool, the peaceful beach, and the exceptional service more than made up for it. We are definitely returning and would happily recommend The Lamai to others 🧡🙏🇹🇭☀️

This hotel is well-located and offers a very good, high-quality breakfast. There's a wide selection on the menu, even though it's not an all-you-can-eat buffet

We did try the BBQ one night which was very nice except the cut and cooking of the steak is well below par- I believe a porterhouse for a BBQ would be a minimum cut to not look “Cheap”, the fish for the BBQ was superb and well made up for the steak

The staff are attentive and beautiful people. All expectations were met and more. Particular thanks to our room assistant, our room was always lovely made up and the turn down service and bug service such a nice treat

The kitchen staff got to know our requirements and were always attentive and welcoming. The breakfast was great, the plate set menus from Luxury Escapes were well thought out and delicious

The food and drinks at the restaurant and pool were also very good. The rooms are set in a garden area with lots of birds and frogs. Our room was lovely, large and we could hear the waves from the ocean

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, the furniture wasn't new but it was okay, the breakfast was very good, the hotel's architecture was very nice, the pool was beautiful, and its location was just a second from Lamai Beach and close to all the central cafes

The resort is perfect, the pool is right off the beach, the location is close to all of the restaurants, bars and shops in Lamai. The breakfast is excellent, we really enjoyed it everyday

Am went over and beyond for us, she is so helpful and we loved her seeing smiling face everyday. She even came to greet us the day we were leaving even though it was her day off

We will definitely stay at The Hive the next time we are in Koh Samui, which I hope is soon. We will also recommend to anyone we know who is going to Lamai Beach in Koh Samui

This is a good hotel with three buildings and its own cozy courtyard. It has a nice, small pool, and there's also a large parking lot for motorbikes and cars

The hotel is about a kilometer from Lamai Beach. Right outside, you'll find Lamai Market, a pharmacy, restaurants, and massage places – it's incredibly convenient

Plenty of cafes and shops are within walking distance, and it's not far from the sea. Breakfast isn't included, but it's not really needed

We only went to the terrace on Thursday evening to watch the weekly fireworks show from there. When you first turn off the main road, it can be a bit startling as the access road looks a bit run-down

But the resort itself is very clean. The dining options seemed good; we only booked accommodation and had breakfast once. There was a huge selection, enough to satisfy anyone

There are also plenty of nearby dining choices both on the beach and along the main road. The location is at the far end of Lamai Beach, so it's not central. We found it to be a good spot

We stayed here for 7 days at the end of January 2026. We received an upgrade to a beach bungalow with a direct view of the beach

I was disappointed because one of the main reasons we booked was the pool by the ocean however, when we arrived, the pool was green. The breakfast was OK and the staff were really nice

Overall, the hotel’s interior, the forest surroundings, and the view of the swimming pool were absolutely delightful. The rooms were cleaned every day

Because of an issue with our standard room, they upgraded us to a villa. They also did their best to prepare some surprises for my girlfriend’s birthday. Overall, a very nice and memorable stay

We found it a good warm-up, even though it's not very far from the restaurant to reception (the furthest distance). The buggy runs on request and continuously, and it's always done with a friendly smile

The hotel arranges this perfectly! You don't even have to pick up the scooter yourself. The walk across the grounds is indeed only manageable for those who are physically fit

The location on the island is convenient, but having a scooter is really helpful for getting from the hotel to nearby places (beach, restaurants, activities)

Great clean bungalows, right on a beautiful the beach with a great sunrise view. Set behind the walking street of lamai but not noisy. Loads of choices of bar, restaurants, smoking shop, shopping & everything else.

The location was right on the beach. ( i chose that option ) So I could hear the sound of the waves throughout the day and night. I just wish the restaurant and reception were open till a little later than they do

This is a reasonably priced hotel with some rooms right on the beach. It has decent facilities including a pool, a massage place, manicures and pedicures and a restaurant/bar adjacent to the hotel

2nd stay here and remains top class. Booked a larger room but was on 3rd floor, couldn't smoke on balcony, no elevator and not as good bathroom and they were happy to accommodate my switch request

Nicely appointed and well laid out resort right on Lamai Beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and they mix great drinks at the resort as well as have a nice restaurant

Great beachfront hotel for the reasonable nightly rate and 2 for 1 happy hour drinks poolside next to the white sand beach. The non beach view / pool view guest rooms are very clean and spacious

This was my first time on Koh Samui, and my first stay at this hotel was from December 25th-31st, 2025. The view was magnificent, there was a pool, and massages on site were incredibly affordable

Customer service could improve - my lock was broken on my door (previously known issue) and the staff asked if I would sleep there a solo female overnight which was not okay

I returned here from January 4th-6th, 2026, and was even more impressed, having experienced other areas and hotels in just a few days before deciding to come back

Nearby, there are food markets with inexpensive and delicious food, as well as a Russian restaurant and an exchange office that accepts Russian cards

A major plus for this side of the beach is that the sun rises directly opposite the hotel, so nothing obstructs it all day long

This time, I had a room with two balconies and sun loungers, and a bathroom with a sea view – simply stunning
