From the moment I arrived at Kalanan Resort, I was welcomed with exceptional hospitality. Everyone was incredibly friendly and made me feel at home immediately, as if I had been coming there for years.The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning architecture, tasteful decoration, and breathtaking landscaping. My room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the activities offered. The cooking class was a highlight of my stay—the chef was not only talented but also extremely engaging and communicative, making the experience both fun and memorable- Thank you Chef!!! The massage was equally wonderful, and the therapist was highly skilled and professional.

The views throughout the property are simply amazing, and every corner of the resort is thoughtfully designed. And if you’re in the mood for a drink, don’t miss the Piña Colada—the bartender makes an excellent one!

I left Kalanan Resort with beautiful memories and a deep appreciation for the kindness and care shown by the entire team. Thank you, Kalanan, for such a memorable stay. I truly hope to return one day.

It was my first time staying at this beautiful hotel. The hotel complex truly surprised me in a very positive way and was much better than what can be conveyed online. I had my final meal before departure at the restaurant by the river. It was exceptionally good, and throughout my journey I kept thinking about the wonderful food. We just stayed 4 nights at the Kalanan resort. The hotel gives a very pleasant old world charm feeling. The gardens and grounds are really beautiful. Service and friendlyness of the entire staff is really welcoming and friendly. We had several nice talks with the General manager Kate.
And the receptionan girls I only know the name of Nutty, but all are fantastic and helpfull. Our houskeeping lady Mei was a real jewel, but the other ladies also and the young boy from Myanmar. Thanks all for the real great service.
We loved the breakfast buffet, good fresh quality and much choices. Manager Purina very friendly. We did not like the river restaurant for evenings. For us a bit too noisy with the orchestre.
The swimming pool outside second floor was great for a cool swimm in salt water.
But the whole swimming pool area is not very atractive by the noise from all the aircos. And the sunbeds need some fresh cleaning. We stayed in a forest view room, I think the Riverview rooms will have the best riverviews, but more noisy of the river traffic. One minus is that the beds are really too hard . I think that a place like this should do an investement in much more comfy beds. I will never forget the surprises from for ly birthday. That was so nice and really touching. The hotel has a lot of events and groups and weddings, but that never was disturbing us. Sunset is to die for. Thanks for everybody and hope to come one day again . The hotel is located in a peaceful area, with a stunning river view, and the facilities are pleasant. The staff is very friendly, and even though English is not widely spoken, they make an effort to communicate and fulfill requests. It’s highly recommended for couples or families.

The staff made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every request was met with genuine warmth and care. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in making every guest’s experience special. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming getaway.

A great resort near Bangkok that is quiet and not crowded. Has 2 swimming pools and a great, vibey restaurant outdoors by the river. Room prices are a bargain, too.

This resort was absolutely wonderful! The rooms hold so much beautiful character with a deck overlooking the river. The staff are so friendly and we had a great dining experience with excellent food! The breakfast buffet was amazing as well, offering different dishes each morning with a plethora of options to choose from including a fresh fruit and salad bar. The resort itself holds so much beauty with artwork hanging from every wall. The two pools were so refreshing with the upstairs being salt, the bottom one offering a wonderful nature experience with beautiful trees and climbing plants. We were blessed to experience the Plumerias or frangipani which dropped stunning flowers into the pool making it so magical. The services are wonderful including the Spa where we experienced a very healing massage from Gyson, forgive me if i misspelled her name but she was so wonderful. We also had an amazing waiter Sprite who was attentive to our needs. The drinks were delicious and crafted by Nony. This place is very laid back and offers a quiet atmosphere. We were very pleased with our stay, and will be back :)

Excellent hotel, right on the Chao Praya and perfect if you are interested in popping over to Koh Kret. Staff were great, friendly and helpful, pricing is very reasonable. Two swimming pools, both really well maintained, one by the river and one in the atrium. Only slight irritation was the (new?) gym building blocked a bit of our river view but not really an issue overall as the rest of the place was so good. Lovely grounds and layout based on a river fort (with cannons included) Will definitely be coming back at the next opportunity.

Loved staying here! It's such a beautiful resort and the staff looked after us very well. We took a ferry from Saphan Taksin on a Friday, late afternoon (FYI, it's the green flag that only runs Monday to Friday), then it was a short taxi ride from Pak Kret pier to the resort. A winding driveway took us past tropical plants, trees and a fountain – it was a wonderful first impression.

The Colonnial-style building is enchanced further by a selection of attractive Thai artworks – someone clearly put a great deal of thought into choosing them. Our room had a balcony overlooking one of two pools and the river. (It would've been better still without the gym blocking the view a little, but no biggie!) We were lucky enough to arrive during sunset. Unusually for hotels, the mini bar was reasonably priced, so we enjoyed a cold beer (80 THB) on arrival. Perfect!

The room was comfortable and spacious, with wooden details – it had much more character than that of a modern hotel room. We loved the four-poster bed and top-quality linen.

Breakfast was delicious, with a great choice, good coffee and proper fruit juice. We sat outside, looking out towards the river, which added to the overall experience.

We took the hotel's boat to Koh Kret the next day, which was very convenient, then hired bikes to explore the island. Well worth doing.

On our last morning, we swam in a pool flanked on all sides by hotel rooms, but open to the sky. It's so beautiful there! The pool is set in a tropical garden with mature trees reaching beyond the roof. The smoothie menu at the bar sounded good.

I thoroughly recommend this place!
