I would defiantly stay again.
Ended up staying here for a couple of days, since the default hotel I normally stay at was fully booked. The Muse was in an area nearby, and I have stayed at MGallery hotels previously. The service and rooms are definitely in keeping with the MGallery level. Food, both for breakfast and lunch (lunch meeting at Steakhouse) was very good. The eating area is a bit cramped though, and one of the days had a "bus load" of what looked to be a tour group in the breakfast area, which made is crowded and noisy. Rooms on the other hand were quiet, and the roof bar is also worth visiting for a drink and view. The elevator system seemed to have a mind of its own though, as I had numerous instances where the pressed floor number "disappeared" causing an extra elevator trip. On the whole, it is still a good hotel to consider.
The staff are very nice and friendly. The hotel's decor is simply beautiful making it look exotic. The rooms are big with a super bed and a nice seating sofa with also an additional writing table on a corner.
Bathrooms are spacious too with perfect classical bath fittings. The shower was great with very good water pressure.
AC works great in the bangkok heat. The minibar is well stocked and so is the tea & coffee maker.
I loved the herringbone wooden flooring in the room. The overall decor of the room was beautiful.
The service was impeccable. I am coeliac so had written to say I required gluten-free foods. No problem. All the restaurants in the hotel knew of my dietary requirements and helped me with menu selections, provided gluten-free bread without asking for it, and made the whole food experience so easy.
The hotel is well situated to easily walk to shops, street markets and eateries. Totally a wonderful experience. I'll be back.
Beautiful building with an incredible design.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The restaurants were very impressive. The roof top bar was great as was the swimming pool.
Our room was simply amazing loved the design, the city view etc
We would love to visit again
To improve: We think the breakfast could be better for Bangkok standard... no eggs benedict, no natural juices, no pancakes. The only good bread at breakfast was the gluten free bread and you have to ask for it everyday and they will only give 2 or 3 slices... that is reality, we were there for 3 breakfasts in a row.
We stayed there on NYE and did the countdown at the Speakeasy. It was a little disappointing since they should limit the number of tickets sold. We never were able to get our drinks and could barely have standing space during the countdown.
Babette's meal was also not great. I had requested a medium steak and it came very raw. After sending it back, the steak came back a crisp overdone (not even well done, it was jerky). The foie gras was also overdone and a bit of a letdown.
The stay was a brilliant one though the hotel would do better if they could anticipate the needs of its guests better.
Breakfast buffet is also very diverse, although not to eat.
The rooftop bar is also decent, but seems too forward or not. Late night willingly in a Cup of good seemed.
And the departure day after check-out, Luggage storage and Luggage when you find a health club shower set also available.
As a whole, fairly satisfactory hotel.
Problem for the hotel is that its size. It's too cramped and packed at times - lobby, pool (if you call a wadding pool a pool), restaurant and bar. The lounge is infested with mosquitos as well.
Apart from the above, the room is perfect! Romantic, lovely and comfortable. Location is good - walking distance to Erawan !
