Nice swimming pool, too little sunbeds. Good and varied breakfast. An extra plus for the staff, they are very helpful and friendly (especially the lady with the glasses)
Ordinarily, I wouldn't complain but we were initially given a room right beside a building site with the on going scream of an angle grinder in operation. When appointed another room we then needed to request hand towels, as there were none.
Breakfast in the morning unless you're a real early bird resembles a rubgy scrum and every man for himself.
Although the staff appeared pleasant enough I got the feeling they suffered from "Farang" fatigue. Being close to Khoasan Road and Banglampoo this place had no shortage of takers.
Asking to book a taxi on check out for a short ride I was told- 500 baht, I later hailed a taxi outside - cost - 85 baht.
So glad it was just two nights, and I really couldn't wait to be clear of the place. Sadly, "Palace", it definitely ain't.
