Reviews
I want to be fair here. Let's start with the bad things: Every piece of the cheap furniture and doors in my room (21) are old and broken; and so is the toilet seat. There are stains on almost every wall. The kettle in my room was dirty, with what looked like leftover tea leaves from the last user. The bed was hard - though not the worst I've had - but bearable. The room's toilet had a shower that had barely usable water pressure, its door was rotting at the base from water damage and its sink drained directly onto the toilet floor! There is also no elevator, so if you get the higher floor rooms, too bad. And the Wi-Fi is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes fast, but often not working.
Still, the essentials are "functional". A clean, large, comfortable bed in a spacious room, with powerful air conditioning and a hot shower (if you can accept the low water pressure).
The hotel's location is also excellent, with the direct neighbourhood having great street food, cafes and bars. And a 7-11 is just 50 meters away. The MRT is just a 7 minute walk away; so is the grand Bangkok One shopping mall, and Lumphini Park and the new Central Park Mall are 15 minutes walk away. (It's ironic that the two most fancy malls in the country are so nearby)
For its price of about USD18 a night, if you are not fussy, and just value the essentials this place provides, it presents somewhat reasonable value. I personally would rather have paid a little extra for a better hotel but had no choice at my point of time.
That being said, if you demand basic working facilities and/or appearances scare you, this hotel will be a nightmare for you.
It's a real pity. With just a little more effort to clean the place and fix basic stuff that should be working, this could be a good budget hotel. But the operators seem to want to run the place as cheaply as they can get away with while disregarding even basic guest comfort and hygiene.
I stayed here in October 2024.
There’s no elevator, and you have to carry your luggage up four flights of stairs to reach the room.
The photos on the booking site looked okay, but in reality it was like a haunted house.
The walls were covered in stains, and there were mysterious fluid marks all over the sheets and pillows. The water pressure in the bathroom was ridiculously low.
The room smelled like smoke, and it took half an hour with the window open just to clear it out.
The worst part? There were tons of small cockroaches. Within just 30 minutes of entering the room, I saw more than five.
By night, I deeply regretted staying and wanted to leave immediately, but it was already too late, so I forced myself to stay. No matter how many I killed, they kept appearing. I was terrified they’d crawl into my luggage or shoes, and I couldn’t sleep at all.
In the middle of the night, I booked a different hotel. The moment the sun came up, I checked out.
Of course, even though the room was this bad, they don’t give refunds.
If you can't carry ur bags up flights of stairs take the lower floors
Staff are mainly thai only speakers - how ever are all kind and easily we communicated with translate.
Some of the previous comments from last year have been changed as my room was clean ...for sure some deep deep clean can be done in the bathrooms
Seems like the Aircon was cleaned recently as smells really fresh
The bed moved a little, there was a loud noise, the sink and drain pipe were clogged.
The air conditioner is cool and comfortable. Wi-Fi is available but cannot be connected.
Was funny everytime after a while I came across a new broken item, never stayed at a more broke run down hotel before but the rooms are lare and clean. Also hotel did not accept cash very weird.
