Sugar Marina Hotel - Cliffhanger - Aonang in Ao Nang

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel 🌴✨ The service was excellent from start to finish, with genuinely friendly and helpful staff who made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was a highlight—there was a great variety of options and everything was delicious. The room was clean and the beds were super comfy. The location was also very strategic, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, 7-11, pharmacies, and local shops nearby, and most importantly Ao Nang Beach all within walking distance. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay—highly recommend!

The location are very strategic and near to beach just by walking distance. The surrounding are full of restaurants, bars and massage.
Room are clean and I like the whole atmosphere

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It feels brand-new and very modern. We stayed in two rooms on opposite sides of the building. The cliff-side rooms offer an amazing view, while the other side is quieter and more private. Breakfast was great, with plenty of options to suit every taste. The hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the beach, and there are lots of shops and massage places nearby. One small downside is that the main pool doesn’t have stairs to get out—only the rooms with pool access have steps.

Nice pool. Room is complete with nice bed and good airconditioning. Breakfast is great! The only thing that could be better is de temperature control in the shower, one second it is boiling hot, 5 seconds later it is ice cold. (Room 2406)

The hotel's location is a bit far from the beach. Its main feature is the direct pool access rooms, which I only got to experience once as I was busy with island hopping every day. The breakfast was quite rich. However, the front desk was very inflexible with check-in; we had to wait from 10 AM until 3 PM, which was very frustrating.

We returned to this hotel for the second time and stayed for three days. Initially, we were given a deluxe room located at the back of the hotel, with a forest view. Unfortunately, the air in that room felt heavy and there was a noticeable smell of damp and mold, so we requested a room change.
The staff responded to our request and we were moved to room 2510, which we highly recommend. The room offered a beautiful view of both the mountains and the sea, was very clean, and the towels were changed daily.
The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from.
Overall, after changing the room, our experience was very good and we enjoyed our time at the hotel.

Our stay at Sugar Marina Hotel was fantastic! We were kindly greeted by Hunna and Ar with some pineapple juice to refresh us from the heat outside. They were able to get us a room ready well before our check-in time (arrived at 10 and check-in was 2) at no extra cost which we really appreciated! The rooms were super clean, we’re very thorough checking for bugs and we did not find any and in fact were very pleased that the mattresses looked brand new (they never usually are at hotels) and even the underside of the bed was immaculate. We had the king size room with pool and cliff view, it was amazing! Such a treat to be able to just come out of your room and have the pool plus the limestone greeting you. They lend you indoor slippers, robes, and even a large beach mat. The location is also prime imo. You have all the restaurants, shops and the beach/port nearby and most of our tours picked us up from here. You have the cleanest laundry with a coffee shop right next door which is super convenient if you’re planning to wash clothes like we did. In terms of noise levels, I was travelling with my partner who’s a very light sleeper and he was able to sleep soundly every night so that was also a 10. All round I think this was one of the top hotels we’ve stayed in.

Everything was great! Location wise it was located quite nearby the beach and street stores.
