Hotel Marabout - Families and Couples Only in Sousse

2nd holiday here and returned after 2 weeks back in the UK. What better recommendation do you need. Excellent experience. Especially for the solo traveller, you may start your journey alone with in hours your in a world where you feel you belong. It just has such a friendly vibe no matter what nationality. TO THE HOTEL Well done to each and everyone of the staff for making my stay so enjoyable. Both those front of house and also the unsung heroes the back of house staff, who have all contributed to a great stay. I will see you all in September & again in November

I didn’t stay at the hotel but I did have to come into the hotel grounds for some support from the beach. I would like to take the opportunity to thank both of the men in the gardens of the hotel that day that came to my assistance. They showed an immense amount of care and support towards me and genuinely went out of their way to help me on the 26th February. The two men are an absolute credit to the hotel and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Unfortunately i didn’t catch their names but they will know who they both are. Thank you so much, I will never forget you both. Please pass my gratitude on to these two men that were working in the grounds that day. These 5 stars are for them. I have tried to find an email to contact the hotel direct to say thank you personally but to no avail.

Stayed here in August 2025 firstly the location is amazing , right on the beach , which was beautiful , also near nice restaurants and attractions , not far from town walking distant , easy transport via taxi . The farmers restaurant serves delicious steaks reasonable value . I can not fault the current entertainment team , which was varied every night they worked hard . The bar staff work extremely hard I often felt bad for them as children would drag sand into the bar from their feet ,floor area constantly needing cleaning. perhaps if the hotel had a few self vending soft drinks machines jotted around the hotel this would eliminate the problem for staff and gust , as the only other place you could get a drink is the restaurant or beach bar . I was really impressed with Mehdi the head barman very caring person , refused to serve my teenager alcohol Helpful , hardworking and professional , personally I think he needs promoting and recognizing. Shout out to Omar to great personality good hairdryer stayed my sons multi talented. The catering staff work hard to , food was plentiful , just not to my taste was overcrowding and loud . The beach bar undercooked the food , I preferred the hotels restaurant where you have to pay , again reasonable , pizza 20 dinar . The pool and activities I can not fault clean , great aqua park. I stayed in room 1117 the noise from the nearby club , private events kept me awake until 5 am , I did not bother complaing as I found the reception staff extremely rude . The only asset to the hotel front of desk, was the luggage serice man well spoken extremely helpful Cleaning was made daily , helpful and hardworking . Would I stay here again yes if they improved on the little things which would make this hotel amazing .

I had a great time in this hotel, so professional and great services, I'll come back again next year. No regrets at all 10/10

Before we go I was very sceptic about the bad comments, now I am writing before our leaving. The hotel is great located, very nice sandy beach, clean pools and good aquapark. All days were full with activities and there was no time for being bored. The animation team is great, singing and dancing all day. The food was also ok, there was choice for everyone. I have argument only for the cleaness, they are cleaning all day but I don't know what 😀 they do something wrong 😀 Anyway I am satisfied, and the kids very happy 😊

Sat on the beach writing this. The hotel is great and the staff are lovely. Beds are the only real issue. Very uncomfortable. The animation team have been very good with me and especially the kids. We have had some issues with our children due to the heat and general grumpieness but the animation team have been amazing. Beer is cold and refreshing (Celtia) we have had a good 2 weeks.

We wanted a family friendly holiday with two children and that's exactly what we got. Yes, the rooms are tired looking and the beds aren't very comfortable, the tiling looks like it's been put on by a drunk blind person, but they are clean and very functional. The animation team have been phenomenal, my three year old has had the best time playing with them and being treated like a king, nothing has been too much trouble. The staff have been great, always helpful and nothing too much trouble. If you want a holiday filled with fun, sun, sand and great memories, look no further. If you're looking for a 5* luxury room, this isn't the place for you.
