Liberty Kuşadası Resort - All inclusive in Kusadasi

We recently stayed at Sealight Resort in Kuşadası and, while the hotel itself has excellent facilities, the food and hygiene let it down badly – sadly we wouldn’t return. ⸻ 👍 Positives • Spacious upgraded room – Huge king bed, single, and double sofa bed. Cleaned daily with fridge restocked. • Clean and well-staffed hotel – Reception staff welcoming, and plenty of staff keeping the pool and grounds tidy. • Great pool choice – Deep pool, family pool, saltwater pool, and fun slides suitable even for our 5 & 7 year olds. • Beach area – Sandy, with water sports. Lots of loungers and quiet spots as you head down. • Snack options – Lighthouse bar handy for fussy eaters (only place with chicken nuggets). Waffles and ice creams a daytime highlight. • Entertainment – Colombian dance show, White Party, and African show were excellent. Good mix of daytime and evening activities for adults, plus a small water park and playground for kids. • WiFi – Reliable across the hotel, pool, and even the beach. ⸻ 👎 Negatives • Food & hygiene – The buffet was chaotic, overcrowded, repetitive, and not suited to British tastes. Plates often left uncleared, staff brusque, and food quality poor. My partner and child became ill, and we saw several other guests being sick. This alone ruined our holiday. • Children’s pool closures – Closed three days in a row due to accidents despite signage about swim nappies. Saltwater pool had an unpleasant smell by afternoon. • Beach access – Steep stairs, even with the shuttle – not easy with children or pushchairs. • Service issues – Snack bar understaffed at lunch with long waits, small portions, and abrupt staff. Waffle/ice cream hut overwhelmed, often just one staff member serving long queues. Some bar staff ignored guests – including my child. • Beds – King bed comfy, but sofa bed and single were rock hard. • Kids’ activities – Mini club very basic, children often not allowed in adult daytime activities. Mini disco very late (9–9:30pm) and repetitive. • Noise & safety – Pool music far too loud in one section. Balcony on 5th floor narrow and high, not ideal with children. Had to get up early to get sunbeds as they are all usually taken by 7am. Sadly I got up early to ensure we had sun beds close to the children’s pool for our kids. Sealight Resort has lovely rooms, great pools, and good entertainment, but the poor food, service issues, and sickness ruined the stay. Not suited for British families or fussy eaters. A real shame, as with better food and hygiene this could have been an excellent holiday.
