Cappadocia Cave Resort&Spa in Uchisar

Staff was not well organized. Room needed attention. In-wall plumbing manifold was exposed in bathroom. Glass shower enclosure was unsightly due to hard water deposits. TV did not work the entire stay. Room safe was broken/unusable. Reception said we could leave valuables in hotel safe, so we gave them pouch with valuables to secure while we were out on tour. When we returned, pouch was still on counter where desk clerk had put it when we left (not in safe) !!! Restaurant meals were mediocre. Coffee not available at breakfast on departure day. Way overpriced for value received. Do not recommend.

Besides the beautiful view of the valley and air balloons in the morning, this hotel cannot be recommended. Old rooms, dank smell, showers in miserable conditions, bad lighting, etc. The service at the front desk and restaurant very bad. Very disappointing!! Never again !!!

Very horrible resort i suggest don't stay here..poor wifi.. very bad service.. room is also not good.. staffs are not supportive.. In website rooms sees like good but in real its very bad.. total waste of money.. very bad experience.. i suggest not to stay in cappadocia cave resort..

Not clean and the staff is rarely there. The food was average . View is decent. Nobody in reception. Very dusty everywhere . Not worth the price . The people serving in restaurants had so much dirt on clothes didn’t feel like eating food/ spa restroom all broken. Heater water broken in bathroom

Trip adviser is no more a valuable review place...this hotel is given 4.5 star...it should be 1 star property..very bad experience...rooms were smelly..breakfast had less food options..service was very slow...untrained staff..broken plugs..used coffee ND tea shashes

I can’t attach videos to tripadvisor but I attached some images. The videos showed the broken furniture and bathroom fittings almost falling off. They’re on my google review . I thought the recent bad reviews were maybe just exaggerating but no, they are correct. If this was a cheaper three star hotel I wouldn’t leave this review. Because this hotel is five star and charges high money, I wanted to share the experience so that others don’t arrive disappointed Some of the furniture in the room is falling apart, the bathroom is dirty even after cleaning and the bathroom fittings are loose. The air con works but sounds like it needs replacing. The worst thing is the staff attitude. We had something like 5 key cards fail, meaning I had to go to reception multiple times for help, and they have a very bad attitude to any problems. I saw various customers complain about something in their room and asking to be moved to a new room but the staff simply do not care at all and say “this isn’t a problem” and “you cannot move room”. They use “I don’t understand your problem” as a default meaning “go away” If you call reception for something eg they hadn’t given us shampoo etc, they say they’ll send someone but it never happens We had a problem with an alarm belonging to the hotel beeping loudly every 30 seconds all night meaning I couldn’t sleep. So I was VERY tired the next day and asked reception for help The receptionist Seren could not care less. She laughed at me saying “what should I do”. When I said can I move room she simply said no as “there is no problem”. Eventually I found the source of the alarm, filmed it and showed her and then she believed me and she got it fixed. Video attached to reviews I left on google Customer service was basically terrible, I’ve never been in a situation where the staff hear a complaint and grin/laugh/smirk and refuse to act or even pretend to care even after multiple attempts. Breakfast was ok, with a big selection of things like cauliflower, rice, eggs, it felt like an old fashioned 1970s hotel restaurant space. Coffee was terrible, lukewarm warm brown water in a self service jug A cup of Turkish tea and a cup of coffee and a baklava for 2 people in the other restaurant owned by the hotel, cost us around £24/ 28euro / 1000 Turkish lira. They didn’t tell us the price when we ordered it, but In Istanbul you will get Turkish tea for free or 50-100tlr and baklava is cheap, so we didn’t think to ask - we charged it to the room and had a big shock when we checked out The view from the hotel is amazing. You are paying only for the view here. It is an amazing view. You see balloons, red valley in the distance. But there are many hotels with this view in Uchisar. The spa facilities seem fine. The outdoor pool was out of use according to the spa staff In my opinion the decor and broken furniture and bad attitude of the staff should make it a 2* hotel, with the view from the rooms of a 5* hotel They seem to host big
