This hotel was so impressive. The location was superb, right across the Uçhisar Castle. The views from the dining room are excellent and it’s so nice to have breakfast looking at the fabulous Capadoccian landscape. But the best of the hotel is the service. The breakfast is really good and served warm, fast, efficiently, and organized. Everyone is so friendly in the hotel, several staff speak good English, and they are beyond helpful. Highly recommended.

Simply the best. There’s no need to look at any more reviews or any more hotels—you found THE one. I’m on the road four months out of the year, and never have I stayed at a hotel that feels like I’m staying at my mother’s home. It’s not the swankiest; it’s not the newest (some rooms are carved out of caves). But, you will not find a hotel with better hospitality. Family-owned and operated. Every time I’m in Cappadocia, this is where I’ll stay.

We stayed at Kali Konak for three nights. It was the absolute best hotel experience I have ever had. The owner and staff all made us feel welcome and cared for. The rooms were so cozy and unique. The breakfast, served in the light-filled main area, was fresh and delicious. The views were spectacular, with so many seating areas to choose from. It felt like we were staying in a friend’s amazing house for a few days. If ever back in Uchisar, I will be going back to Kali Konak! Oh, and the hotel cats and dogs made it even more special!

We stayed at the Kale Konak hotel for five days in September and loved it. Its location in Uchishar away from the crowds of Goreme was perfect and the style and appointment of the hotel was very much in keeping with it being located in and around a number of caves.
What made it even more special were the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Especially Bahar and Mustafa. What an amazing way to start our Türkiye adventure.

Location is excellent, right by the castle. Breakfast is included and plentiful. Rooms are beautiful and quiet. Courtyard is lovely and so is rooftop area. Hammam available for free, you just need to book in advance! Parking available.

The most unique place we’ve ever stayed at! Here in Cappadocia we enjoyed “being bears” as my daughter liked to say. This is the first and only cave hotel we’ve ever been to and it was something to experience once in a lifetime. The rooms are great and they make it as comfortable as they possibly can inside a cave. Some things could be cleaner and the bathroom had a smell to it. The service and staff were so great and friendly though. The lady on check in was so helpful and the manager of the place set us up with the hot air balloon ride (see balloon ride review). Hope you like animals bc they have 2 live in dogs there and a bunch of cats around and in the property. The steps to go up and down the place are pretty steep so better be mobile. The male staff member at the reception was also friendly and helpful when we asked a bunch of questions of him.
Upon check in, they offered this delicious refreshing glass of mint lemonade and some cake. Best lemonade ever. They offer food on site for purchase if you want to munch or drink there. We also had the Turkish breakfast in the morning which was included. It was amazingly delicious, well thought out, and had so many elements to it. There was more food brought out than pictured but I didn’t get to capture those since I was too busy eating. We especially enjoyed the eggs and the mini donut type things. So fresh and piping hot! Overall, we had a wonderful time here and would recommend it to anybody who is able to walk up and down those steps. The cave-like feel of the place has an adventurous vibe to it.

Our stay at Kale Konak was nothing short of magical. The ambiance of the hotel is enchanting, with its blend of traditional Turkish decor and modern comforts creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Each room is uniquely designed, adding a special charm and personal touch to the stay.

The staff at Kale Konak were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready with a warm smile and eager to assist with any request. Amazing hospitality!

One of the highlights of my stay was waking up to the stunning views of the hot air balloons rising over Cappadocia in the early morning. Watching this breathtaking spectacle from the comfort of the hotel was a truly unforgettable experience. We literally woke up and walked to the rooftop and could see the incredible views!

The traditional Turkish breakfast served each morning was the perfect finishing touch to my stay. The variety and quality of the dishes were outstanding, offering a delicious and authentic taste of local cuisine.

Overall, Kale Konak is a gem in Cappadocia, offering unique rooms, amazing views, and wonderful hospitality.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we sat down for a little tea break and what a lovely break it was, we really enjoyed the beauty and the ambiance. The historic design is stunningly beautiful, everything is so neat and so pretty and the view is lovely. The staff received us with such kindness, it really made our day. We can only imagine how beautiful the rooms are, hopefully we can stay there one day. Thank you for the cake and tea💗
