Life Span Hotel Taksim in Istanbul

First of all, I hope Chinese people can see this review and definitely avoid this hotel. I booked 5 nights with them. I missed the first night due to flight issues. I arrived around midnight on the second night. I booked a deluxe room, as shown in the picture, but the room the hotel gave me was on the second floor. It was very small; the bed was right outside the door, and I couldn't even unfold my suitcase. I repeatedly told them that this was not the room I booked, but they insisted that this was the room they had booked. The receptionist's English wasn't very good, and after arguing for a while, he called the owner and said that I could stay for now and they would change it the next day. The owner would come at midnight, so I gave in because it was so late and I didn't want to go through any more trouble. The next day, I went out for lunch and returned around 12:00 PM. I didn't see the owner. The cleaning lady said she would change my room, so I left my luggage at the front desk and left. When I returned in the evening, they showed me a family room with three beds, but I had to pay an extra 5 euros per night, which was 15 euros. I was furious. I only wanted the room that matched my booking, not the three-bed room. I contacted Ctrip customer service, who agreed to pay the 120 euro difference. The whole process was impossible to communicate with, and their attitude was poor. The pictures didn't match the actual room. The hotel should have kept my room; why add extra charges? Also, the room was very crowded at night. Even after moving to the third floor, I could still smell the smoke from the front desk. The experience was extremely poor.

SCAM ALERT 🚨 This place is a DISASTER! • No heating and no hot water upon arrival at night. • Crumbling stairs, missing essential elements like light switches, broken sockets, and non-functioning lights. • Filth, stench, and complete neglect! After spending the night in sweatpants under two blankets, the owner promised a refund (,I have a proof of that on my WhatsApp) based on which I booked another place. But then he backed out, claiming everything was fine! ⚠️ Stay away! Looks like they keep changing names to scam more people!

We were directed here because there was a problem with the water pipes in the 35 m2 deluxe room we booked at Lifespan Harbiye (in fact, it was said that the whole hotel was), another hotel of the same brand. It is basically a fraud committed against local customers; when we told the hotel in advance that we would be arriving late due to work, they probably resold the room they sold us for a higher price and forced us to stay in a 14 m2 room that was not even half the price we paid for a hostel. We would never recommend this hotel.

Very noisy hotel, impossible to rest day or night.
Hygiene leaves something to be desired with cockroaches in the room.
The so-called luxury room is nothing luxury, too small with a bed that is too old, noisy and not comfortable at all.
Room not isolated in terms of sound and light.
We changed rooms with a supplement, this one has a toilet door that does not close.
Stairs too narrow in a helical shape and very exhausting.
When we arrived, we collected the room key from the receptionist of the hotel next door, and no receptionist from the Life span hotel.
In short, a catastrophe to be absolutely avoided.
