Highly recommend Ramparts! Adem, our host was amazing. He arranged transfers from and back to the airport in the early morning hours, stayed up to greet us on late check in, advised us on public tranport and more. The hotel is within walking distance to the main tourist attractions like the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. Our twin room had ample space, a kettle with tea, coffee & creamer, a bar fridge with complimentary bottles of water (yay!), chocolates and biscuits. Everything was clean and neat and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a large selection of cheese, fresh veg, fruit, breads, local dishes, delicious olives and plenty of tea and coffee. The neighbourhood is in old city so expect old city vibes. The area was busy but it was nice to see and hear the kids playing outside in the street. We had great food from the local vendors just near by and I believe there are some good seafood restaurant in the area too. Be prepared to climb stairs/no lift facility.

An altogether fantastic place to stay. Possibly the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in, great room, excellent location and very good breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is well located: the main attractions are within a half-hour walk. The hallway and room were neat, and the furniture looked new. The room had air conditioning, a refrigerator, a kettle, and a TV. Bottled water, tea, instant coffee, and chocolates were also provided. I especially want to note the squeaky clean sheets, and the entire room was very clean. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable. The receptionists spoke Russian and were always ready to help and offer advice. I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely recommend it.

Don’t believe the positive reviews — most of them are fake or paid. The hotel is very dirty, and the food is the same every single day, with no variety or taste. It’s extremely noisy inside the rooms, you can’t sleep properly. But the worst part is the situation outside the hotel at night: people are drinking alcohol, shouting, and even fighting right in front of the building. It feels unsafe, especially if you’re with children. This is not a place for families or anyone looking for a peaceful and clean vacation. Stay away from this hotel — it’s a huge disappointment!

The hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable (& I am really fussy!). It is situated in an edgy, slightly non touristy area, but we always felt safe and easy during the day time as well as at night. It is only a short walk to the main attractions and bazaar's. Adem is so helpful and friendly. We had a fridge in the room & the showers are amazing. We highly recommend and would definitely return.

Very clean and well-maintained hotel. The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful. They booked transfers to and from the airport for us. Located in a quiet area with restaurants nearby. A 25-minute walk to Hagia Sophia. Abundant breakfast.

An absolutely amazing hotel, in a great location in the heart of old Istanbul. In addition to the fantastic location, I highly recommend the service, the breakfast, and Mr. Adam (the manager), who is always willing to help. For example, with arranging a taxi from the airport. We regularly stay at this hotel, this year was our eighth visit, and we will definitely come again.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and it was excellent experience. The rooms were clean and specious and the beds were very comfy with plenty of pillows. The room had minibar fridge stacked with water, sweets, coffee and tea with no charge! Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is in walking distance from all the main sights which was really great.

Parking space is available next to the hotel for 10 euros a day. Nearby there are plenty of stores and food places.

Overall Impressions are 10/10. I highly recommended it. Looking forward to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, immaculate, and really comfortable. The bed was perfect, with plenty of soft pillows, ensuring we slept well every night. We loved the breakfast. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, especially the hotel manager Adem, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There is a parking just next door for only 10 euros per day, which was very convenient.

We also appreciated the minibar fridge with complimentary water and sweets – a nice touch. The location was ideal for us, as most of the main sights were within walking distance, so we didn’t even need to rely on public transport. The bathroom had a hairdryer, and there’s a market and food spots nearby.

Highly recommended, and we would definitely return for another stay!

Nice hotel, Friendly staff
Really only negative comment I have is that despite it saying online that they have free parking, we were charged 20 euros on check out for the parking.

Otherwise, hotel was nice, clean, appeared very new. Staff were friendly, pleasant, approachable, and helpful. Breakfast was good. Area felt safe (we walked back to the hotel past midnight and had no issues or concerns). Getting to the hotel was a bit of stressful driving… but that is not specific to the hotel, but rather most of Istanbul from what we experienced.
