We stayed twice at Modern Sultan Hotel and the staff are professional, helpful and very welcoming. They helped us getting information around Istanbul and everything we needed.
The location is perfect to visit Sultanahmet and other attractions nearby.
Recomended for a good stay in Istanbul and have the experience of Turkish hospitality.

The hotel was perfect with every detail in it, the location was perfect for touristic places it was very easy to arrive wherever we want. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast is perfect with lots of choices. If i come back again definetely staying here.

The Modern Sultan Hotel, is centrally located in the old Sultanhamet part of Istanbul. This makes doing business and visiting historical and important sites really achievable within easy walking distance and no need for public transport. The people in Istanbul are super respectful of one another and this is visibly apparent and beautiful to experience. Idris and the team at the MSH are wonderful and truly accommodating in every way possible. Thank you for a memorable stay in the busiest city in the world!

I love everything about this place! Accommodating staff, nearby restaurants & a mini market, just a walking distance to the main tourist spots, and a huge room with great window views. If it's your first time in Istanbul, I would highly recommend this place. But beware that there's no lift! Though the staff will help you to carry your luggages up to your floor when it's your time to check in :)

It is a small hotel with a few rooms, but it becomes very cozy and you feel welcome thanks to the 24/7 personnel. The workers are very kind and have lots of recommendations. Breakfast it's great, a Turkish buffet with many options. It is also in the heart of the old city, so every palace, mosque and special place is in a short walking distance. Some of the rooms even have a view of the Hagia Sofia!
They also offer you a transfer service from and to the airport.
Would recommend for couples and families!

I booked this hotel (Hagia Sofia view room) as it was central to almost every location I wanted to visit in Istanbul. Travelers be aware that you will hear Islamic prayer 5 times a day. However, it was well worth the price I paid. The front desk and hospitality service provided by various individuals were excellent and I was able to have a pleasant conversation with everyone I interacted with. Turkish hospitality at its best.

A slightly quaint hotel in an excellent location, very very friendly, courteous and helpful staff, clean rooms, filling breakfast and more than satisfactory rooms and amenities.
It’s centrally located near the top attractions on the European side walking distance to the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Seceral museums public transport including trams, a slightly longer walk to the Marmaray train (you can take a tram tram Gulhane but we preferred to walk).
There is usually Turkish tea
I am sharing a photo of Sabri who invited us in to the dining room and offered us tea and played his Baglama (a 7 stringed Turkish musical instrument).
Note it’s an old hotel with 5 floors and no elevator (the city will not allow due to heritage protection). So if you are not fit or have issues negotiating stairs this place is not for you as there are no rooms on the ground floor.

Excellent location. Very close to the main square, 5 minute walk to the start of the hop on hop off bus stop. Plenty of shops nearby. Very friendly staff. Clean room and hot shower, WiFi was great, safe in room. I felt safe at all times. Breakfast was nice, heating in room.

The hotel location is ideal for sight seeing being walking distance from the tourist attractions,tram station, restaurants, bars etc.
The staff at the location are very courteous and extremely helpful. The staff there can organise taxi rides, day trips and are always on hand to offer recommendations. (Thanks Atakar👍)

Old and small, but very clean and tidy. This hotel is literally 2 minutes walk away from Hagia Sofia Mosque.
Staff were awesome: Atacan, Sabri and Idris were super helpful about carrying our bags up and down the stairs at ALL times. Stored our luggage away whenever we needed it.
A special thanks to Leila for the nice breakfast every morning and always serving beverages throughout the day if needed.
We stayed 11 days. The staff became like family.
Hotel is a few minutes away from public transport as well.
