Sun Comfort Hotel in Istanbul

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Sun Comfort Hotel was so unpleasant that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment we arrived, the manager was unwelcoming and downright rude, especially when we brought up some concerns. Instead of addressing them professionally, he was dismissive and made it clear he didn’t care about guest comfort or satisfaction. The room was dirty — stains on the sheets, dust everywhere, and a bathroom that clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. It felt unhygienic and poorly maintained. The breakfast was terrible: cold, stale, and very limited options. Definitely not what you'd expect from a place advertising itself as "comfortable." What made matters worse was the overall unsafe environment around the hotel. We didn’t feel secure walking back at night, and there was little to no visible security presence on-site. I would strongly advise against staying here. For the same price, you can find better accommodations where staff are respectful, rooms are clean, and you can feel safe.

I get this is a budget hotel and you shouldn't expect too much but you can tell they cut the costs on every corner. Our room was small and dingy with microscopic bathroom and shower built only for small children. It should be for 2 people max but they fit double and a single bed too. Our bed was tough and sinking to one side. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and did not work most of the time. The aircon was off which would be ok for the end of October if you could leave the window open but you can't. The street is very busy till the late evening hours. Ah and don't bother with breakfast - it's extremely basic and we just ate in town.
