I stayed there for a week. One of the best trips.
If you are looking for a luxury hotel that is not for you . It is old but clean and warm . The guys there are so kind . The best of the best . They just care about you and gives you what you ask for .
The breakfast is good .the services are good .
Many thanks for moment and Muhammad they helped me alot alot alot because this was my first stay in Turkey and I don't speak Turkey.
I will go there again

Very good experience.
Simple hotel . Everything smooth and functioning. Islamic friendly.
Staff were kind and helpful , and speak English. They helped book a taxi for airport transfer for a very fair price .

Totally enjoyed the stay at this hotel. It's well equipped and well located. Hosts are nice and hospitable with a very cute small girl. Interior design is fancy and representative for Istanbul. I also enjoyed breakfasts, which were a great chance to experience what Turks have for breakfast. It was enjoyable and enriching the overall travel experience.
I personally would like to thank the family hosting Hotel Baykal for the hospitality and wish them all the best, health and every success in future. God bless you!

manager of this place is sooo kind. dont care they cannot use english! they can use translator and do their best to help you :) (they helped me to solve my problem of my ferry tickets refund for more than 10min)

I stayed at hotel Baykal for four nights and it was quite alright. Although I’m sure I didn’t get the best room (room 210), it was affordable. Since they were renovating the place, my room was quite dusty and still smelled of paint. Also, it wasn’t exactly clean. But, clean enough, I guess. The entrance and the lobby downstairs look really nice, but my room definitely needed an update. Including the bathroom.

The room wasn’t well insulated, so it was quite noisy until late. Even though I could open the windows, it wasn’t always possible to let in fresh air from the outside, since downstairs at the neighbouring building they were burning some stuff every night, in a pot. Sometimes I could smell shisha. A couple of times I smelled cigarette smoke in the bathroom, through the ventilation system, coming from the guest upstairs.

Nevertheless, I had a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, there was always hot water, the breakfast (which was included) was good and the people that work here are friendly. Last but not least, the location is not bad at all. I wouldn’t mind returning to this hotel, since it was a good deal, after all.

"DON'T STAY HERE"
It was an awful experience. First they gave us a room which wasn't clean and there were somebody's clothes and wet towel there. When we told them, they said "It's ok, the guy left the hotel, but forget to pack the luggage."😶😶 After we didn't accept to stay in that room, they changed. But the new room was not clean well and in a week they didn't clean the room at all. There was nothing like the photos there.
